As an ACT Commodities Sales Trader, you get to do it all, from building client relationships to identifying and sourcing suitable products, negotiating the terms and closing the deals.

As a Senior WECC Sales Trader you will be responsible for:

  • Leverage deep relationships with WECC contacts to source & supply compliance RECs and Offsets across all WECC markets
  • Work with existing traders to expand WECC trading activities
  • Understand and identify arbitrage opportunities in the renewable energy commodity market to originate deal flow for your trade book
  • Create strategic trade solutions to ensure obligated parties reach their compliance goals
  • Develop an understanding of the landscape within the market including product knowledge, industry challenges, legislative and geopolitical changes
  • Maintain relationships in the renewable energy sector
  • Represent the firm at conferences and engage with stakeholders within the industry

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of sales, trading, and brokerage of Renewable Energy Credits and Carbon Offsets in WREGIS markets including but not limited to: California, Washington, & Oregon.
  • Highly self-motivated person who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly
  • Undergraduate Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Environmental Studies or a related field

Salary Range: $125,000-175,000 + bonus

Actual base pay may vary based on various factors such as location, job-related knowledge, skills, level and experience. The base pay is just one component of the total competitive compensation package for employees.

Please note that this role is remote with occasional travel to our NYC office and conferences.
