Function Overview:

You will join the Wakam underwriting leadership team as a senior member and you will report to the CUO.

This London-based position can be hybrid or remote-based with up-to 8 days per month expected to be used for face-to-face meetings. You may be required to travel to the UK and other European destinations too. Flexibility will be offered and will be required.

✎Responsibilities:

Wakam's model leads us to outsource many key processes for an insurer: underwriting, production and claims management. We control and monitor our partners on these different aspects through 3 levers: continuous operational control, technical analysis, and audit.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee the planning and organization of all delegated authority related activities
  • Provide assurance that all delegated authority and claims arrangements are being underwritten and managed in accordance with the agreed protocols
  • Manage relevant MI and KPI reports to be distributed throughout the business and provide meaningful data analysis in support to relevant Boards and Committees
  • Support the negotiations of delegated authority contracts and delivery of a high-quality partner service
  • Manage the monitoring and oversight of partners and other third parties including TPAs and adopt best Delegated Underwriting Management practice
  • Provide effective oversight of the Coverholder and TPA audit programme
  • Actively drive/participate to continuous improvement projects and initiatives in the function

✯Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Insurance Claims industry including expert understanding and experience of TPA Model (especially but not exclusively motor)
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of providing delegated authority to MGAs in both the UK and Europe
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Advanced Stakeholder management skills
  • Spoken and written French is a nice to have
