We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Controller to join our team. At Shipup, this person will be responsible for managing our financial planning and analysis, budget management, and financial reporting processes.

Your Responsibilities:

• Build and ensure that monthly financial reports are accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.

• Create and maintain financial models that forecast revenue and expenses.

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.

• Oversee the budgeting process and work closely with other departments to establish budgets.

• Establish and maintain efficient financial operations that support the company’s goals.

• Identify cost-saving measures and opportunities for investment.

• Develop and implement internal controls that mitigate financial risk and ensure compliance.

• Provide guidance on financial matters to non-financial stakeholders, including investors and management.

You could be a good fit if

• You have an experience either in audit and/or in a startup or fast-paced environment.

• You have a 2-3 years minimum experience in financial planning and analysis, budget management, and financial reporting.

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• You speak French AND English.

• You have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

• You are recognized for your excellent communication skills to effectively communicate financial information and analysis to non-financial stakeholders.

• You are adaptable, detailed-oriented, and curious.
