    Who are they?

    Batteries, and more specifically lithium-ion batteries, have become a cornerstone of the energy transition. Lithium-ion batteries have been widely used to power our electronic devices, vehicles, or energy storage systems. However, this exponential number of produced batteries comes with an increasing attention to battery safety. Indeed, batteries - as dynamic electrochemical and electronic bodies - are exposed to performance and safety issues.
    Founded in 2017, PowerUp develops advanced battery analytics solutions that ensure a safe and reliable usage of batteries. By considering their actual use, our advanced algorithms and software allow to prevent critical issues, as well as maximize batteries performance and lifetime. These solutions support all kinds of lithium-ion batteries applications such as Energy Storage Systems, Electric Mobility or Backup Applications. This technology is based on more than 15 years of research at CEA-LITEN and leverage more than 10 patents that related to battery degradation and ageing mechanisms diagnosis.

    With its solutions, Powerup guides its clients and help them reach milestones in their battery management. But it is also through our teams, internally, that we want to promote and help reach positive milestones in everything they do.     Job description

    To support our growth, we are looking for highly motivated and talented individuals to join our Sales team within our Revenue office.

    Missions and activities

    As Sales Manager, you will contribute to driving our local and international commercial growth mainly in France and in Europe :

    • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing and account management. • Develop and monitor sales pipelines to ensure order targets are achieved. • Negotiate pricing and commercial conditions with customers and partners. • Ensure proper contractual terms to ensure revenue and profitability targets are achieved. • Collaborate closely with our marketing and customer-success teams. • Represent PowerUp in leading industry and networking events.

    • Work in a collaborative, rapidly growing and high impact start-up environment • Thrive in an international professional setting characterized by flat hierarchies, supportive and collaborative teams located in Paris and Chambery. • Use your area of expertise to develop sales serving energy system transformation towards renewable energy domain acceleration. • Collaborate with other employees passionate about battery asset monitoring, decarbonization, and renewable energy storage. • Benefit from a partial work from home policy.

    Preferred experience

    • 5-10 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in BtoB Software sales and/or business development.
    • Proven ability to win new logos
    • A graduate degree in business or engineering sciences, MBA is a plus.
    • Professional experience in startups or greentechs and SaaS business models is a plus.
    • An understanding of renewable energy and battery systems and relevant professional networks to support sales (e.g. on safety, asset management, EV fleet management, utilities).
    • Proven ability to design and implement successful Challenger sales strategies.
    • Integrity and enthusiasm.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills including experience in contractual negotiations.
    • Experience using CRM tools such as HubSpot.
    • Fluency in French and English with proficiency in another language a plus.
