We are very proud of our team.
We think talent density is much more important than headcount. From Ron who founded his own company in the US before moving to France, to Coralie who left McKinsey to become a Data Analyst at Joko, we are committed to building a team of diverse and talented individuals.
Xavier graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Mines Paristech. After working for Jumia Travel (Rocket Internet) as MD for West Africa, he worked at the French Ministry of Finance, where he discovered open banking and how it could reshape the payments & rewards industry.
He created Joko in 2018 with Alexandre and Nicolas, with the ambition to reinvent consumers' shopping experience, from product discovery to reward and payment.
When he's not working, he tries to travel the world and eat good food as much as he can.
Hajar attended Ecole Centrale Paris and ESCP Business school. She started her career at Givenchy (LVMH) and then she decided to join the start-up and e-commerce ecosystem at Manomano to build the planning process in the ops team.
She joined Joko in 2021 to build the online business and grow the team. Her main missions are to support our partners in their growth and to hunt down the best deals for users. What drives her on a daily basis is having fun with great team members and the challenge of building a great purchasing power app for our users.
During her free time, Hajar loves to travel and work from abroad, she loves to party and shop as well
Louis joined Uber Technologies after graduating from Ecole Polytechnique and UC Berkeley. As a Data Scientist, he worked on computer vision and facial recognition problems, before switching gears and becoming a Software Engineer working on safety & video processing.
He came back to France and joined Joko in January 2022 to focus on payment systems, where he contributes to architectural decisions, backend implementations, and frontend designs, working alongside Product & Ops. Louis is incredibly motivated by Joko's technical challenges, ambitious and talented team.
Outside of work, Louis is an avid reader and always looking for restaurant recommendations
Julie graduated from ESSEC Business School and started her career in the luxury industry, notably working for 4 years at Givenchy (LVMH) as a retail merchandiser, driving the EMEA region’s retail product strategy and performance on several categories.
She joined Joko in March 2022 to lead the new Private Sales business line and then joined the Marketing team as Growth Manager a few months later. Her role is to grow Joko’s user base and users’ product engagement, working on all stages of the user journey, from acquisition to activation to retention.
During her free time, Julie follows various kinds of dance classes and loves to try out new restaurants.
Victor graduated from École Polytechnique and worked on several entrepreneurial projects as part of X-HEC Entrepreneurs before joining Joko in 2020.
He started at Joko as a Founders Associate, working in a close relationship with Xavier (CEO) on hiring, product, operations, and cross-team projects. Victor then joined the Product Team in 2021 with the ambition to put Joko in the hands of millions of users worldwide. He is driven both by the incredible talent of the team members and the limitless challenges that lie ahead.
In his free time, you’re most likely to find Victor hanging off the walls of a climbing gym or, when the weather allows it, off a cliff in the south of France!
At Joko, they leverage technology to help their users shop smarter: they help people preserve their purchasing power, buy more responsibly, and save time — all at once. Their ambition is to have a positive impact on the everyday life of hundreds of millions of consumers around the world. To achieve that, they have built an app as well as a smart browser that provides users with:
- online and in-store cashback
- automatically applied coupon codes
- interest-free ‘buy now pay later’ on any shopping website
- information on their purchases’ carbon emissions
- and much more!
Joko was created in 2018 by Xavier, Alexandre, and Nicolas and the team has reached great milestones already:
- 2m+ users
- 2000+ merchant partners
- €12m+ raised from leading European investors
- 45 team members
- €20b transactions processed to date
They are looking for people who are willing to get out of their comfort zone to reach outstanding goals. Doers who never stop learning. People who are talented, optimistic, and fun: setting the bar high and willing to give feedback, but not taking themselves too seriously.
They value talents from diverse backgrounds and experiences to create great things together. Their team is made up of various profiles (former entrepreneurs, engineers, PhDs, etc.), each with a singular path that led them to join us.
To achieve their ambition, They built Joko around 5 core values:
- we set the bar high
- we get things done
- we care for others
- we never stop learning
- we make it fun
If these values are aligned with what you are looking for and who you are, they would love to meet you!
Their Parisian office is located in the very heart of the city, close to Strasbourg-Saint-Denis.
They believe that flexibility and trust are important parts of a company. Their work environment reflects this thanks to:
- Flexible remote: If you live in Paris, you can work from our office or from your place with no constraints. If you live elsewhere, you can get access to a coworking space.
- Work from anywhere: Do you want to travel to South America for a month and work from there? For up to 3 months a year, you can work from most countries in the world.
On top of that, they offer many perks such as:
- a budget for remote work equipment
- a Swile card for your meals
- a premium Alan Blue health insurance
- a budget for training to keep learning new things
- frequent team events and the Joko house every quarter!
Joko was also awarded the B-Corp certification for their actions in favor of employees, their positive impact on the community (Pro-Bono days, Duo Day…), and their commitment to protecting our environment.
