1. PREAMBLE AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to set out the rules applicable to the collection and processing of your personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Data”) via our website www.welcometothejungle.com and its subdomains (hereinafter referred to as the “Website” or our “Services”).

Our Privacy Policy details the Personal Data that we collect and process via the Website, why We process your Personal Data, how We use it and the features offered to enable you to access and update your Personal Data.

It applies to candidates and persons who browse the Website without creating an account (hereinafter “Reader”) and persons who have created a Member Area and entered their personal information (hereinafter “Member”), jointly referred to as “Users” or “You”.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to our prospects and clients, who are recruitment professionals. If you are a client or prospect, we invite you to visit the dedicated privacy policy.

Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered by third-party companies operating websites and tools belonging to our partners or other websites or tools accessible from our services. We are not responsible for how these sites use your Personal Data.

2. ACCEPTANCE AND UPDATE OF OUR PRIVACY POLICY

By using our services on the Website, you confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy and accept it without restriction or reservation. If you do not agree with any of its terms, you are free not to use our services.

We may amend the terms of this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly if we implement a new Personal Data Processing operation. You are invited to consult this page regularly to ensure that you agree with any modifications. In the event of significant modifications, you will be informed of these modifications either by a special mention on our Website or by notification by email.

3. DATA CONTROLLER AND DATA PROTECTION OFFICER

7. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your Personal Data is kept only for as long as is strictly necessary and proportionate to the purpose of the processing concerned.

Your contact data collected as part of your subscription to our newsletter is kept until you request its deletion via the unsubscribe link available in our communications.

In the event of a period of inactivity, with no positive action on your part for more than 3 years, We reserve the right to send you a communication asking you whether you wish to continue to receive our communications. If you do not respond, we reserve the right to delete your Personal Data.

Members

The Personal Data entered in your member area (identification data, data on your professional life, contact data, photo, history, etc.) are retained throughout your use of the Services and until your account is closed.
In the event of a period of inactivity of more than 5 years, we reserve the right to send you a communication asking you whether you wish to keep your member area.

When you apply for Welcome to the Jungle job vacancies via our Website: Your application data is kept for 2 years from the date of your application.

When you apply for jobs on our Website (excluding Welcome to the Jungle ads): We act as a subcontractor for our clients and we comply with the retention periods applied by the latter.

Before the expiry of these periods, we may contact you again to find out whether you wish to set up an additional retention period, in which case the periods indicated above will start running again.
Once this period has elapsed and your account has been effectively closed, your Personal Data will be rendered anonymous. It will then be used exclusively for statistical purposes.

8. RECIPIENTS OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The Personal Data that you transmit to us when using our Website may be communicated to :

Our clients (recruiters) if you apply for a job via our Services or you agree to make your profile visible. In the latter case, you may change your mind at any time and your profile will never be visible to your current employer.

Our subcontractors and partners, for example for hosting, maintenance, statistics and satisfaction surveys, audits, fraud detection, marketing, management of security incidents or fraudulent activity, development and improvement of our Services. These third parties have access to your Personal Data to the extent necessary to perform these tasks on our behalf and are required not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

For legal reasons, your information and Personal Data may be disclosed to a third party if WTTJ is required to do so by law, regulation or court order, or if such disclosure is necessary for an investigation, injunction or legal proceeding, whether at home or abroad.

Transfers outside the EU

The Personal Data processed in connection with the use of our Website is stored on servers located within the European Union.

When WTTJ uses service providers located outside the EU, guarantees are taken to protect and secure transfers. Thus, either these recipients are located in a country benefiting from an adequacy decision, or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission have been signed.

We implement organisational and technical measures to protect the security of your Personal Data against any unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, damage or destruction.

Welcome to the Jungle and its technical and hosting service providers have implemented appropriate measures to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and security of your Personal Data.

10. RESPECT FOR YOUR RIGHTS

You have a right of access to your Personal Data, the right to request its rectification, deletion or portability, as well as the right to request the limitation of the processing of your Personal Data, to withdraw your consent and to define directives concerning the fate of your Personal Data after your death.

You also have the option of objecting at any time:

  • Processing for commercial prospecting purposes, implemented by WTTJ ;
  • For reasons relating to your particular situation, processing based on the legitimate interests of WTTJ.

You can exercise your rights of rectification and deletion directly within your Member Area (for more information on this process you can consult our General Terms of Use). You may also submit your requests to us at any time via the dedicated contact form or by contacting the Data Protection Officer (DPO) at privacy@wttj.co.

Once you have contacted us, if you feel that your rights have not been respected, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
