Your mission:
The mission of the R&D Search and Evaluation team is to support the execution of the Group's strategy by identifying drug development projects and R&D technologies that will feed the Group's R&D pipeline and platforms, while establishing Servier as a Partner of Choice in its global ecosystem.
This position represents a unique opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in Business Development while remaining close to science, with strong ambitions to bring the best treatment solutions to patients suffering from severe diseases and with few therapeutic options.
The position offers the possibility to join an international team connected to Boston, Copenhagen and Beijing offices.
Reporting to the Search & Evaluation innovation sourcing project manager, the main tasks of the trainee will be to:
- Search for innovative therapeutic or techno opportunities to support Servier’s projects in oncology and in neurology, using various sources of information like asset & financial databases, publications, patents, press releases, etc.
- Provide understanding of the life science ecosystem in key geographical areas in Europe, US and Asia (identification of clusters, incubators, key academic centers, etc...)
- Keep the S&E team up to date of emerging biotechs and milestones reached (patents, clinical trials, target disclosure, fund raising, awards…)
- Support External Innovation needs (BD and S&E teams) by providing a benchmark of deals within Servier’s strategy
- Preparation and follow-up of partnering conferences (eg BIOEurope, BIOUS)
