The position

Job description

You will be at the helm of our process development, turning innovative prototypes into a robust pilot towards a market-ready product. This role is central to our upcoming high-stakes Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate our tech in a complex, real-world industrial environment. Notably, we are launching a Proof of Concept in collaboration with a major water player now. You will also shape the structure and culture of our process engineering team.

  • Lead Process Scale-Up: Design, test, and optimize our next-generation electro-driven membrane processes from early pilot to industrial scale.

  • Manage early adopter pilot programs and act as the primary technical liaison with our first clients.

  • Drive R&D with Data: Design experimental protocols, analyze complex data to generate actionable insights, and guide our R&D strategy.

  • Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with a world-class team and external stakeholders, reporting results with clarity and rigor.

    ### Your adventure

    • A Pivotal Leadership Role: Join a mission-driven startup at a critical growth point. As a senior leader, you will bridge the gap between scientific breakthrough and industrial application, directly shaping our success and environmental legacy.

    • Cutting-Edge R&D: Work with high-quality lab equipment and proprietary technology at the forefront of water innovation.

    • A-Team: Be part of a supportive, agile, and exceptionally talented team of experts dedicated to a common goal.

    • Growth & Learning: Unmatched opportunities for professional growth as the company expands.

    • Competitive & Holistic Package: A package designed to recognize your seniority and expertise, supporting your professional trajectory and personal well-being.

Preferred experience

We are looking for a visionary engineer with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.

  • Education: Master’s degree (BAC+5) or PhD in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a related field.

  • Experience & Skills: Proven experience in process development, optimization, and scale-up, demonstrated through hands-on expertise in at least one of the following areas:

    • Electro-driven purification (e.g., Electrodialysis/ED, Capacitive Deionization/CDI)

    • Pilot-scale testing

    • General Electrochemistry and Membrane Processes

  • Industrial Scale-up & Pilots: A track record of taking technology out of the lab and into the field. You have designed, deployed, and managed pilot-scale testing in real-world environments.

  • Multi-Stakeholder Management: Experience navigating complex projects involving industrial integrators, utility providers, and corporate partners. You can translate technical data into strategic insights for diverse stakeholders.

  • International Exposure: A global perspective is a significant plus, particularly within major water-stressed or desalination hubs.

  • Project Governance: Skilled in the “business of engineering”, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.

  • Professional Attributes: Strong analytical and organizational skills, a true team spirit, high adaptability, and a proactive mindset ready for the challenges of a fast-paced startup environment.
