The position

Job description

We are seeking a Model Risk Analyst to join the US CIB Model Risk Governance team within Model Risk Management (MRM). The MRM Group within the Risk Department (Model Risk & Risk Governance) is responsible for Model Validation, Model Risk Assessment and Model Risk Management for Natixis' Group.

The CIB Americas Model Risk Analyst will provide support to the CIB Americas Head of Model Risk Governance in performing the duties pertaining to the Model Risk Governance function.

  • This role will work cross-functionally within the organization including collaboration with business lines as well as key integral support units.
  • Provide support to maintain and update Model Inventory (e.g., new model declaration, data quality checks and corrections, etc.).
  • Contribute to Dashboards enhancement.
  • Contribute to Notices tracking enhancement and associated follow up.
  • Contribute to MRM System (MRM tool) capabilities enhancements.
  • Provide support to validators regarding the MRM tool.
  • Maintain and update procedures and policies.
  • Contribute to reporting and associated presentations to Senior Management (US MRMC, US MRM Dashboards).
  • Support internal audit, regulatory exams, internal controls etc.
  • Contribute to MRM Trainings.

Preferred experience

The ideal candidate will hold a Master of Science or an equivalent degree in economics, statistics, finance, mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Experience in developing or validating models is a plus, as we value candidates who can bring expertise in this area.

The successful applicant will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and will have a proven ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders at all levels. We are looking for a strong team player who can thrive in a collaborative environment while also demonstrating the ability to excel in a fast-paced setting and meet tight deadlines. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are key traits for this role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, along with advanced programming skills in languages such as C/C++, C#, Python, SQL, VBA, R, or MATLAB
