The position

Job description

  • Assistance with month-end fast close process for the NIMI ELAME region, including coordination and support across the following BDUs: UK, Dubai, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, and LATAM.
  • Work with and help manage third party accounting relationships while providing support and finance oversight over the BDU's in ELAME.
  • Arrange quarterly/monthly meetings with the TPAs in each region/BDU.
  • Assist in monitoring budget across BDU, organise quarterly meetings with BDU heads to discuss and review budgets.
  • Be a point of escalation for BDUs with regards to accounts payable and expenses.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with Group policies, UK accounting standards, and local statutory requirements; support internal audit requests.
  • Reporting: Prepare or assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports; assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements as required.
  • Tax and Governance: Assist with VAT/Tax compliance, transfer pricing, and regulatory filings;
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies; contribute to simplification and standardization of financial processes across ELAME.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate master data in systems; support data validation and integrity checks.
  • ad hoc Projects: Participate in regional finance initiatives, system implementations, and process improvement projects.


Preferred experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proficiency in English is required. Additional European languages are a plus. Relevant accounting experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) and financial reporting tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, v-lookups).
Ability to handle large data sets, perform reconciliations, and ensure data integrity.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Works effectively with colleagues across regions and functions.
Takes ownership of tasks and meets deadlines.
Comfortable working in a dynamic multinational environment.
Strong focus on accuracy, coontrols, and compliance.
Proactive in identifying issues and proposing improvements.
