The position

Job description

Within Hexa Scale’s team (Augustin & Samuel), you’ll participate in the deal-flow cycle to make 2 successful deals a year.

Outcomes

Deal-flow: guarantee volume and reactivity

  • Perform the first analysis of Inbound leads, and therefore guarantee a <48h contact to the entrepreneurs.

  • Identify new companies that fit our investment scope each week for reach out and ensure a strong volume generation at the top of our investment funnel, target: 30 identified companies

  • Help us to enhance our outbound tooling set-up (database, automations, scraping)

Research: help perform cutting edge market deep-dives

  • Perform research on sectors that we decide to deep-dive: mapping of actors, mapping of products and features, understanding of competitive landscape, understanding of funding status and exit potential, understanding of value-creation for customers and GTM structures.

  • Participate in qualitative research with market experts: Identify, reach-out and organise calls with market experts that we may not have directly in our network, at scale. Example: generate 10+ interviews with key buyer persona on a researched market.

Company analysis: help elaborate clear pictures of our targets

  • Understand and analyse the business model, product, team, growth engine, and overall business plan of our targets. Participate in our version of the BP to understand key assumptions and risks, and generate a clear picture of the investment opportunity.

  • Support Hexa Scale’s team in both intro and due diligence calls


Preferred experience

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree of top Business/Engineering school

  • At least 1 experience in M&A, PE, Growth fund or top tier consulting

  • Entrepreneurship oriented: Great doer, fast self-learner, self-starter mindset

  • Very curious about tech/software and permanently digging topics to get to the heart of things

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate opinions with both numbers and concepts

  • Highly coachable: enjoying and asking for feedback and training
