We are looking for a staff backend engineer to empower our unique symbolic NLU AI.
Ideally, the profile would be a product-oriented engineer:

• proactive with product ideas & opinions
• interested in the business, user behavior and data
• with curiosity and a keen interest in “why?”
• strong communicators and great relationships with non-engineers
• offering product/engineering tradeoffs upfront
• pragmatically handling of edge cases

We believe in end-to-end product feature ownership and so we adopted and adapted the Shape Up methodology. You will be heavily involved in every step of the product: inception, planning, design, development, release & maintenance.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience with PHP, SQL, Symfony & Doctrine.
• Significant experience with QA, CI & CD practices
• Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural or organizational problems and propose iterative solutions
• Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems
• Positive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication skills: Regularly achieve consensus with peers, and clear status updates.
