Job description

👉 We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join Escape and drive the evolution of our security platform. This role is central to shaping what we build, why we build it, and how it delivers value to our customers. This is a high-impact execution leadership role reporting directly to the CTO (and working closely with the CEO), Your mission is to turn the company strategy into exceptional shipping, customer-backed specs, and flawless releases.

As Lead Product Manager, you will work closely with engineering, security research, and go-to-market teams to ensure Escape remains best-in-class in application security, while scaling as a B2B SaaS product.

Context

  • Location: Paris (75002), 2 days remote/week

  • You’ll be leading and growing the product team (currently 1 PO) and report directly to Antoine (CTO), in tandem with Mathieu (Head of Engineering) and the 4 leads of the tech teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer-Centric Discovery: Engage directly with customers and prospects to understand their pain points, validate assumptions, and inform product decisions through qualitative and quantitative insights.

  • Feature conception: Turn problems and feedback into well-scoped feature proposals, flows, and detailed specs without owning top-level product strategy.

  • Execution, Delivery & QA: Translate product strategy into clear, actionable requirements, working closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a central point of coordination between engineering, security research, sales, and marketing to align on priorities, trade-offs, and outcomes.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to other product managers, helping establish strong product practices and a shared culture of ownership and accountability.

  • Security Domain Understanding: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of application security concepts to make informed product and prioritization decisions.

  • Marketing coordination: Translate upcoming releases into crisp persona/why/what messaging and coordinate timelines so Marketing can launch effectively.

Preferred experience

  • 4+ years of experience: Proven experience as a Product Manager in a B2B SaaS environment, with ownership of complex products.

  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience leading or mentoring other product managers or driving product initiatives across multiple teams.

  • Security Acumen: Solid understanding of security concepts, ideally in application or cloud security contexts.

  • Customer Exposure: Demonstrated experience working directly with customers, including discovery interviews, feedback sessions, or product reviews.

  • Communication Excellence: Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly articulate product decisions and trade-offs to diverse audiences.

  • Execution Mindset: Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

  • Startup / Scale-Up Experience: Comfortable operating in a growing company with evolving processes and priorities.
