Your Responsibilities
Regulatory & Permitting
• Identify, interpret, and integrate all relevant industrial safety and environmental regulations (laws, directives, standards) into project development.
• Define safety design rules and technical solutions for future facilities and develop site safety concepts.
• Coordinate and review third-party safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, accident modeling, fire & gas detection, ATEX zoning, etc.) and environmental impact assessments.
• Lead the permitting process: structure timelines, coordinate consultants, validate studies, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
Project & Engineering Support
• Support projects from early feasibility to detailed design, ensuring compliance at every stage.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (process, engineering, operations) to ensure safe, consistent, and efficient plant design.
• Draft procedures, specifications, and internal standards to strengthen Elyse Energy’s technical framework.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Collaborate closely with French and Iberian teams to share best practices and harmonize approaches.
• Conduct ad-hoc studies for project and business development teams.
• Promote a proactive HSE culture across the company
Profile
• Engineering degree or a specialized master’s in industrial safety, Environment, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role – ideally within large-scale industry or energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish (and ideally Portuguese and French) regulatory frameworks, along with API, NFPA, and APSAD standards.
• Excellent understanding of industrial processes and safety systems.
• Autonomous, adaptable, and collaborative — able to thrive in a fast-growing environment.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is essential; French is a strong advantage.
