Your main missions will be:

  • You’ll be the key person supporting the Sales Excellence Director on standard product pricing strategy and implementation. This has an immediate impact on volumes, profitability and business success. 
  • You will lead other commercial initiative projects, aiming at increasing sales efficiency (e.g. business dashboards, sales communities animation, sales training, CRM; etc.)  
  • You would be supporting and reporting to the global “Sales Excellence Manager” for Veolia Water Technologies (VWT), as part of a newly formed, centralised team driving positive global impact in key accounts, marketing, sales and communications.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Sales Excellence director on the topic of standard product pricing: translating the VWT business strategy into market pricing plans which are implemented via a cross functional team, involving global delivery business units (DBU) as well as technology business units (TBU) worldwide.
  • Developing total lifecycle value pricing strategies for our core standard product range which enhance volume and profitability, based on markets and regions.
  • Together with the  Marketing, Product Management and Market Intelligence teams, identify and prioritize product and application developments. 
  • Working closely with the Sales Excellence director, procurement and finance teams to closely track movements in fixed and variable costs.
  • Data driven win/loss analysis for key products to underline pricing recommendations with data.
  • Monitoring and reporting on market trends, pricing performance and competitiveness.
  • Preparing analysis on change requests from the sales team by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels.
  • Assist in developing pricing strategies for new products and services.
  • Collaborating with product, sales, procurement and finance teams on pricing decisions.
  • With a strong customer and value chain focus, together with the DBU and the TBU, identifying unmet needs and developing value propositions and offers using present and future product portfolios.
  • Provide quarterly updates on regional performance/competitor trends/lessons learned.
  • Depending on the business needs, support on other transversal business excellence topics such as enhancing sales capabilities, incentive setting, the NPS program or other topics under the responsibility of the Sales Excellence Director.

Preferred location: Around key Veolia Water Technologies Europe offices (greater London, greater Paris, Hannover, Milan, Madrid, Dublin). Proximity to an international airport would be important, to regularly meet team members in HQ in Paris, St. Maurice.

Požadavky na pozici

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or technology; MBA preferred.
  • You have 3-5 years of B2B work experience, preferably already in the Water Treatment Industry, and a background in commercial activities (Commercial Engineering, Sales, Inside Sales).
  • You have worked within multinational teams before.
  • You are a strategic thinker who can implement change.
  • You have experience in developing and executing global sales strategies or plans.
  • You have experience in value proposition development and value based pricing.
  • You have experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
  • You have prior experience in a similar role including solid exposure to managing pricing processes, implementing pricing initiatives, and creating pricing process documentation.
  • You possess a strong understanding of pricing strategies and concepts.
  • You have excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • You possess strong analytical skills, are comfortable dealing with numerical data, and have very strong attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written English is mandatory, knowledge of French is an added value.
