About the Role

In the Uber France Marketplace Operations team, we partner with Product, Local Operations, and Cross-functional partners to build and scale impactful products and data-driven processes across the region. The French Marketplace Ops team is responsible for optimizing and improving ‌marketplace efficiency for drivers, riders, and the overall platform in France.

What the Candidate Will Do:

  • Create and Execute the Rest of France Strategy: Develop and implement strategies tailored to the unique characteristics and needs of the markets within the Rest of France (RoF) to ensure long-term growth and marketplace health.
  • Scale Marketplace Products and Processes: Work as a bridge between EMEA Operations, cross-functional, and product teams to contribute to product requirement definitions, experimentation, launch, and scale-up of new products in France; perform analytics for ongoing optimization.
  • Project Management and Execution: Manage projects related to marketplace products and processes by creating launch and expansion plans, aligning multiple stakeholders, tracking issues, conducting root-cause analyses, and tracking progress against goals.
  • Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop comprehensive, data-backed frameworks and models to drive marketplace decisions (such as investment and pricing) in the region and optimize overall marketplace efficiency.
  • Stakeholder and Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with local operations and Small Cities teams and other partners by providing valuable insights and contributing to their success.
  • Main Thought Partner: Act as the primary thought partner for the Head of Marketplace and France's Regional General Manager (RGM) with a specific focus on all matters related to the Rest of France (RoFR), offering insights and strategic guidance to support marketplace growth and health initiatives.
What the Candidate Will Need / Basic Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in operations, logistics, consultancy, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken) is required.
Bonus Points / Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R, etc) and software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute strategic plans specific to localized markets.
