Point of Sales (POS) is one of the core products of SumUp that empowers business owners to do what they love.

What you’ll do

Within SumUp, our POS business is on a high growth mission and on pace to become one of the largest POS businesses in the world. We are expanding our business to serve new merchant types, new markets, and building out several areas of competitive advantage. We offer an innovative and dedicated ecosystem where over 400 people in Paris, Berlin, London, Barcelona and Milan are working hard to achieve our vision. We believe that the VP Europe, SME (small businesses) will enable us to build upon the successes we achieved in existing markets while helping us develop new growth opportunities.

The VP Europe, SME will be developing the right go-to-market strategies in the region. They will be responsible for an international team based in seven countries. The position will be based in either Paris, London, Berlin, Milan or Barcelona.

  • Act as a sound advisor and influencer for all revenue related decisions: go-to-market strategy, sales management, merchant acquisition, marketing plan, sales excellence, projects roadmap & team execution
  • Develop the strategic commercial plan for the POS business
  • Coach and develop the commercial management teams across all countries
  • Scale up the POS business in existing and new markets
  • Develop key expansion plans including new channels like outbound, partnerships and referrals
  • Improve the go to market efficiency

You’ll be great for this role if,

  • You have assumed a global or regional commercial leadership role in similar large, multi-national and complex tech organizations
  • You have strong background in management of the SME segment
  • You are customer centric and data driven
  • You have strong experience in developing and executing growth, sales, marketing and go-to-market strategies
  • You are an entrepreneurial, multi-skilled, results-driven, analytical yet empathic leader
  • You have a high degree of comfort in dealing with ambiguity, dynamic environments and shifting priorities
  • You’re a strong communicator
