The Data team is constantly on the lookout for new Data Analyst F/H profiles to participate in the development of our Data at scale infrastructure. 🚀

In order to support the company’s growth and data needs, Smartway is setting up a Data driven organisation on inspired from the Data Mesh paradigm in order to be as close as possible to the business areas (more information here https://martinfowler.com/articles/data-monolith-to-mesh.html and https://medium.com/snaptravel/how-should-our-company-structure-our-data-team-e71f6846024d).

Your role: 📆

• You will be responsible for the development of a Data at scale infrastructure,
• You will be responsible for the governance of your domain’s data: quality, reliability, usability and regulatory compliance
• You will be responsible for the definition of your domain’s KPIs and measures
• You will also be responsible for the development and implementation of the data visualization and modelling tools and processes
• You will peer review the work of your fellow Data Analysts from other business areas
• You will be responsible for the development of the data sets and the development of the data storage and processing solutions, and its metadata
• You will participate in the development of data products with the Product Manager,
• You will elaborate & exploit business information (features) with the Data Scientists.
• You will do ad hoc research for both your specific domain or at larger scale for the company including international teams.

• Docker, Git (Github)

You have at least 3 years experience in a similar position.

Skills requirements 🧠:

• You will be able to work in a team environment with a high level of expertise in the following areas:
• Your are able to express complex ideas in English
• You are proficient and autonomous with Excel
• You have strong data analysis skills and a regular practice of basic statistics
• You have the knowledge and ability to enrich data sets and document your ideas
• You have a good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and of the main SGDBs and BI architecture in general
• You are able to to monitor technologies and best practices in data engineering & data analysis

Your profile:

• Quick to react, curious and autonomous: you have ambition and are able to put your ideas on the table
• You are able to work in a team environment with a high degree of flexibility
• You are able to work with agile methods
• You have a strong interest in user satisfaction
• You have a good knowledge of the daily life in the field you are in contact with
• Experience in a retail environment is a plus
• You are proud that your data is usable as an off-the-shelf product
• You have a concrete experience in Data Analysis / Business Intelligence on asset and product management subjects (e.g.: software, terminals, connected objects, etc.)
• You have a good sense of quality, data protection and compliance
• You are willing to contribute your experience and progress in a cutting-edge data environment
• You understand how important self-learning and documentation navigation is
• You want to get better, for and with your colleagues
• You will have read / already have knowledge of these two papers: document 1 & document 2
• You are able to adapt to the start-up world (versatility, adaptability, flexible working hours).
