Beyond any doubt, it also includes the increased safety of our products. Therefore, fire safety is an important cross-sectional feature that needs to be defined, applied, and managed properly.

What will you be your tasks?

• Being responsible for the fire safety aspect of rolling stock projects
• Managing projects in terms of fire safety, closely collaborating with a project manager in Engineering
• Writing fire safety concepts and specifications for rolling stock, including concepts for fire alarm systems and stable fire-extinguishing devices
• Assessing and providing comments on the normative and customer demands placed on the vehicles
• Being responsible for vehicle systems and individual components in terms of fire safety
• Leading expert consultations with the planning department, answering fire-related technical questions, and actively participating in the development process
• Creating internal safety documentation
• Creating approval documentation in fire safety
• Defining, organising, leading and evaluating fire tests (primarily fire resistance and fire-related technical aspects)

What should you have?

• Technical university education
• Practical experience in planning or similar activity in fire safety or graduation from university (fire safety)
• Experience in the area of rolling stock or the automotive industry; knowledge of the EN 45545 standard is a plus
• Experience with creating technical concepts and specifications
• Knowledge of English that enables you to perform professional work; basic German is a plus
• The ability to assert yourself and make decisions
• Organisational abilities and presentation skills
