The role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Space Situational Awareness (SSA) projects and contracts with a focus on the deployment of Aldoria’s optical infrastructure. You will contribute to the coordination, monitoring, and reporting of program activities involving technical, operational, and institutional stakeholders.
Reporting to the Program Director, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external partners, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure smooth execution across geographically distributed sites.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning

• Supporting project planning, scheduling, and follow-up of activities across multiple work packages.
• Developing, maintaining, and improving project management tools (planning dashboards, action trackers, risk registers, milestones tracking)
• Contributing to program reporting activities, including periodic progress reports, KPIs, and management presentations
• Monitoring deliverables, deadlines, and dependencies, and supporting corrective actions when required
• Participating in continuous improvement of reporting processes and project governance practices
• Lead end-to-end project management for infrastructure deployment projects
• Structure and manage activities across engineering, procurement, logistics, installation, integration, and commissioning phases
• Ensure readiness for deployment and operational handover
• Act as the central coordination point between internal teams (engineering, operations, IT, procurement) and external partners
• Manage interfaces between technical systems, sites, and operational constraints
• Ensure alignment between project plans and on-site execution realities
Monitoring & Control
• Track project progress against schedule, cost, and scope
• Identify and manage risks related to infrastructure deployment (logistics, site access, technical integration, supplier performance)
• Implement corrective actions and recovery plans when deviations occur
Reporting & Governance
• Maintain project management tools such as schedules, dashboards, risk registers, and action trackers
• Produce regular progress reports and present project status to management and stakeholders
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
• Coordinate contributions from multiple stakeholders across different organizations
• Support supplier follow-up and contract execution in collaboration with procurement team


Požadavky na pozici

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in project management with a focus on technical, industrial, or infrastructure projects
• Proven experience managing deployment, installation, or field implementation activities
• Experience working in multi-site or international project environments
Project Management & Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (planning, scheduling, risk, cost, and quality management)

• Ability to manage projects involving physical infrastructure, hardware, or complex systems

• Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent)

• Knowledge of a programming language (Python, Java, C++) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Institutional projects environments (e.g. European Defense Fund, ESA) is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to structure complex activities and manage multiple dependencies
• Clear and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Autonomy, accountability, and a delivery-focused mindset

Languages

• Professional proficiency in English
• Additional languages are a plus, depending on project context
