We are looking for a  🌋

As Head of Product Design, Education @Ornikar, you will hire and nurture a group of product designers and be responsible for their performance. You’ll primarily work with them on a daily basis to design valuable, viable, usable and feasible features that will propel Ornikar forward. You’ll also take care of the team, coach the team, hire new members and structure our operations as we scale. Embark on a highly stimulating journey : we’re growing fast, with an objective to at least 3x the size of the product design team alone in 2 years.

  • Support the launch of our new features and the international development of our apps.
  • Assisting product designers individually at each step of the product design workflow with advice, critique and hands-on work if required.
  • Define the roadmap with product and tech leaders in line with the group's strategy and objectives.
  • Ensure overall adherence of the products to our brand identity
  • Hire, coach and retain top product designers in the team.
  • Structure our design ops to support team growth.
  • Set up an environment - with tools, workflows and rituals - in which product designers can thrive.
  • Encourage a team culture based on collaboration, growth and performance.

    Our ideal candidate leverages his design skills and experience as a manager to have an impact on Ornikar's growth and has a proven track record in:

  • Hiring, onboarding, identifying recruiting needs, reviewing performance and handle all kinds of people topics
  • Supporting a group of product designers and elevating their execution level through reviews, feedback, design studio, etc
  • Setting up tools, workflows, rituals and making them evolve as the team scales
  • Strong knowledge of UX methodologies and frameworks, workshop facilitation, UX research activities and tools, design tools, design systems
  • A good understanding of product management, the process from discovery to delivery, the main tools and frameworks
  • Apply if you…

  • Have worked in a B2C or B2B start-up or scale-up environment (6 years experience min) and show good knowledge of roles, workflows and designs.
  • Have already managed a team of at least 4 full-time roles, including the topics outside design (e.g. performance, salary, hiring, onboarding)
  • Are particularly good at discovering and delivering products that answer user needs and help reach business objectives thanks to your proven product thinking.
  • Speak French & business English
