Tomas has been with Omio since 2017, starting as the VP of engineering before becoming our Chief Technical Officer, based out of our Prague office.

Prior to developing Omio’s unique technology, Tomas worked for Microsoft where he was responsible for their largest engineering center in Europe. He’s also held roles at Hewlett Packard, as well as having founded a number of his own companies.

Tomas thrives in an agile startup environment, and is excited to be building and optimising a platform that - in his words - will make sure that the world stays connected once travel returns post-pandemic.

As a Senior People Partner, Barbora is the strategic & operational mind behind the Omio Prague Engineering hub, making sure the office runs smoothly both from operational as well as People strategic point of view. Barbora joined Omio in 2018, and was a fundamental force behind scaling of the Prague hub from the ground up. She values culture, transparency of day-to-day business & working with very experienced leaders and an amazing management team one can constantly learn from.

Vlastimil is our Tribe Lead for Partnerships and he’s been with Omio since 2019. Previously, he worked for leading tech companies such as Avast and was also managing engineering teams at Czech start-ups.

Apart from taking care of Partnerships engineering teams and pushing forward new projects & initiatives, he talks to our partners, Uber amongst others, to ensure a successful cooperation.

He says talking to our founder, Naren Shaam, and our CTO, Tomas Vocetka, during his initial interview, gave him a strong confidence in our leadership team.

He very much values team and culture fit when choosing new team members and says that’s what makes his team unique; everyone looks after one another.

Petr joined Omio in 2019 as a Senior Software engineer and gradually grew into a Principal Software Engineer, now being responsible for creating software and architecture with impact on the company level.

He is a part of Omio’s Architecture Crew as well as Foundations team within Coverage Tribe where he takes care of our API integration platform. One of the main projects ahead will be the optimization of search based on historical data from DWH.

He says he very much values the expertise of (not only) the engineering teams, and says Omio is a place where a person has a lot of space to learn and play with cutting-edge technologies, as well as a supportive team spirit.

Nelli has been with Omio since 2023, and is working in Missions Team within Partnerships Tribe, focusing on backend services within our B2B products.

She values the team spirit, cooperation, and the fact every single person naturally sticks to Omio values. Coming from a different technical stack, Nelli also likes the fact she got the opportunity to learn a new language, Golang, from scratch, and so far very much likes it.

She says she really feels that everything she is doing actually matters.

Christian knew Omio as a user even before joining. He actually used the app to book a trip that he had fond memories of. This was the initial impulse for him wanting to join the team as a Product Manager Working Student in Partnerships.

He very much appreaciates the flexbility that fits his studying needs, and at the same time, he feels his future development for the long term is really emphasized and fully supported by Omio leadership.

Christian would describe Omio as being exciting. As a place where travel is in everyone's blood but also inclusive to different backgrounds and experiences, a great place for anyone wanting to grow and learn.
