The Team:

As part of Murex Client Services Trading domain, our team plays a key role in delivering production support, implementation services, and strategic upgrade initiatives. We bring deep financial, functional, and technical expertise on the MX platform, combined with a client-first mindset that drives every mission.

Our Reconciliation Team focuses primarily on Murex platform upgrade projects, where precision and performance are essential. We work closely with internal stakeholders and clients throughout their upgrade cycles, offering tailored guidance, proven best practices, and specialized tools to streamline reconciliation activities. Our goal is to optimize financial data integrity and reconciliation process, reduce operational risk, and ensure a smooth, confident transition to the latest Murex platform capabilities.

We closely collaborate with the technical department on intelligent automation topics. Their expertise in APIs, model development, and coding enables us to integrate IA components that elevate efficiency, scalability, and innovation across our reconciliation.

The Mission:

Financial data reconciliation plays a critical role in validating business outputs during the upgrade process of the Murex platform. Ensuring that reconciliation tools and methodologies remain relevant and effective across upgrade cycles is essential—not only for operational efficiency but also for maintaining trust, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. As data volumes grow and systems evolve, the need for intelligent, adaptive solutions becomes increasingly urgent. This internship aims to address these challenges by applying advanced techniques from computer science and data science to enhance reconciliation workflows and deliver meaningful insights to business users.

The internship will consist of onboarding the candidate to Murex activities related to reconciliation in upgrade projects. The intern will explore current processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative solutions. This includes analyzing trade break data, validating existing tools, scripting pattern detection logic, and researching state-of-the-art technologies. The goal is to contribute both technically and functionally to the evolution of reconciliation practices within the upgrade framework.

The internship will be structured as follows:

  • Onboarding: The candidate will be introduced to Murex reconciliation activities within upgrade projects, gaining familiarity with tools, datasets, and the business context. This phase will also include developing a business comprehension of financial products—especially in the Fixed Income domain—understanding their valuation and risk profiles, and learning how these products are represented within the MX.3 software.

  • Participate to upgrade project: The intern will be involved in upgrade project reconciliation tasks leveraging on functional product knowledge.

  • Identify and Understand Pain Points: Through observation and interaction with stakeholders, the intern will document inefficiencies, gaps, and user challenges in current reconciliation processes.

  • Validate Recon Tools: The intern will test existing reconciliation tools and prototypes, providing feedback on usability, relevance, and clarity of outputs, and suggesting improvements where needed.

  • Pattern Detection & Scripting: The core technical focus will be on identifying anomaly patterns and scripting logic to group and explain these patterns in a way that aligns with business expectations.

  • State of the Art Review: The intern will conduct a review of current market technologies and methodologies, benchmarking innovative approaches that could be explored or integrated into future reconciliation upgrades.
