Kactus is growing 100% year on year and plans to open international markets by the end of the year. Correctly billing and collecting payments for corporate events at scale is a complex process, due to the nature of our activity.

As a billing and payment intermediary, we are in charge of issuing all invoices for events, collecting payments from customers and transferring them to venues.

Complexities involve :

• Multiple invoices and payments per event (down payment + final payment)

• Multiple changes in contract between signature of a quote & service rendered

• Companies pay by wire transfer, and invoice/payment reconciliation is a manual process

• Multiple european regulations to comply with (legal and financial verification of suppliers, …)

Your long-term mission is to ensure that our marketplace billing & payment operations scale globally, while ensuring compliance with marketplace regulations (facturation pour compte de tiers, DSA, KYC, …).

Your goals will include :

• Automating our supplier legal onboarding process (KYC) to automatically verify the legal entities, by integrating with 3rd party APIs

• Automating our billing process : reducing the human workload in issuing and controlling invoices

• Automating our payment collection process to automatically match payment and invoices, and introduce new payment methods to streamline payments

• Internationalise our transactional system to comply with rules & regulations in other countries (vat taxes, foreign currencies, legal mentions, …)

You will be part of the Product & Tech team that is today composed of :

• 1 CP/TO

• 1 Head of Engineering

• 2 PM & 2 Designers

• 8 developers

• 1 data scientist

As the product leader of the squad, you will report to the CPO.

To succeed in this mission, you will need to be :

• Strong educational background - graduated from an engineering or business school

• Strong track record of achievements in a scale up company

• Structured and analytical mind, able to design processes across multiple tools, detail oriented

• Able to learn different topics at a high pace (regulations, finance, accounting, operations, product, tech, …)

• Able to work well with different stakeholders (CFO, Supply Manager, Billing Ops, Accountant)

• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills (French + English required)

• Passionate about all things billing & payments

• We require a previous experience that demonstrates the aforementioned skills in a growing company
