As an Account Executive SMB at Malt, you own the full sales cycle, from outbound prospecting to closing new customers. This is a high-learning role designed for people who want to build strong sales fundamentals while having a real impact on Malt’s SMB growth.

You will work with small and mid-sized companies, helping them access the right freelance talent to scale their projects. You’ll be expected to combine execution, curiosity, and sound judgment to move deals forward effectively.

Key responsibilities ✨

  • Generate leads: own your pipeline by prospecting through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn
  • Engage qualified prospects: Run discovery and qualification conversations using structured methods (e.g. MEDDIC) and build strong relationships throughout the sales cycle 
  • Close deals: demo the platform, sell the value of Malt, and negotiate Master Service Agreement (MSA) contracts
  • Collaborate internally: work closely with Project Partners and Account Management to ensure a strong first customer experience and a smooth handover.
  • About you 🧑‍🚀

  • Native level in French and strong English proficiency to navigate our international European context.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in B2B sales, in a BDR (cold calls) or an AE (full cycle) position
  • Experience in a full sales cycle, including prospecting
  • Experience selling to senior stakeholders (C-level or decision-makers)
  • Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal
  • Highly driven and results-oriented, with a proven track record of overachieving sales targets 
  • Ownership, initiative, and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • How to join the mission? 🚀

  • First call with Agathe, our Talent Acquisition Lead, to better understand your background, and aspirations and answer your questions (30-45 minutes)
  • Interview with Jean-Charles Shadili, your manager, to discuss your experience and the role in more detail (45-60min)
  • Business case in order to assess your technical sales skills and pitch delivery (60min)
  • Lastly, you will meet Adrian, to better understand our global vision. (30min)
