About the role

As a Solutions Engineer you will be responsible for driving our pre-sales function with new prospects as well as managing the technical integration of Hokodo with newly signed businesses. Your role is crucial to the long-term success of Hokodo as you help customers progress through the sales funnel and quickly realise the benefits of using Hokodo. You will work cross-functionally with our Sales, Engineering, Legal, Operations & Customer Success teams to provide the best customer experience throughout the customer lifecycle. 

Location

We would like you to work from our Paris or London office a couple of days per week, joining our team of dedicated professionals and making your mark on the world of B2B e-commerce.

What you’ll be doing - If you get excited by the following, this is the role for you. 

  • Collaborate with our Sales Team to Showcase the Platform: Collaborate closely with our sales team to develop and deliver engaging demonstrations of our platform to potential clients.

  • Technical Expertise Available: Act as a reliable technical advisor for our merchants throughout their integration with Hokodo, ensuring a smooth and high-quality integration process. Keep stakeholders updated on ongoing integrations and identify and address any issues, risks, or dependencies.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Sales, Legal, Customer Success, Engineering, and Product to enhance our integration process, making it more efficient and effective.

  • Ensure High-Quality Delivery and Optimisation: Collaborate closely with merchants and various Hokodo teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and optimise integrations. This level of collaboration and attention to detail will foster strong, long-term relationships with our merchants, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Contribute to Product and Engineering Roadmap: Leverage your interactions with merchants to provide valuable feedback that supports our product development efforts.

  • Document Integrated Solutions: Document the integrated solutions for merchants, including API endpoints used, SDKs utilised, sales processes, customer journeys, and any special requirements or configurations.

  • Lead Client Workshops and Pre-Sales Processes: Take part in or lead client workshops, trials, evaluations, proof of concepts, and other technical aspects of the pre-sales process.

  • Analyse Technical Requirements and Design Effective Solutions: Analyse technical customer requirements and devise effective solutions architecture to meet their needs.

  • Establish Technical Standards: Establish technical standards to ensure the quality and reusability of our practices across integrations.

Who we’re looking for - At Hokodo, we prioritise hiring individuals who share our mission and values, and possess the right attitudes and behaviours for success. While some of the listed requirements may be important, don't worry if you don't meet all of them, we’d still like to hear from you. 

  • Proficiency in both French and English languages.

  • Familiarity with the ecommerce ecosystem, HTTP Methods and API Integrations.

  • Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer, Technical Sales, or Pre-Sales role for an API-based product is essential.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Quick learner, capable of grasping new concepts promptly and effectively.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in conveying technical and business-related subjects.

  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others and manage stakeholders adeptly.

Nice to haves

  • Programming languages like Python or JavaScript

  • Experience managing integrations with Magento or Shopify plug-ins

  • Additional language such as Spanish or German
