As a member of Group Architecture and Data (GAD) team, you will be responsible for implementation activities within the Group’s Data Platform. You will also fill the position of Functional Leader for the community of data, whether they are in the GIT team, in the Third Party Application Maintenance (TMA) structure or in the (TMA) structure or in the local IT teams of EA entities around the world.
The GAD Data Activities are currently structured around a platform manager and a Service Delivery Manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Be one of the functional referents of the company’s data domain, within the GAD team in order to support the use cases expected by our internal customers (commercial operational, financial, HR, marketing, …). This positioning, which can be described as applied to the field of Data will be mainly oriented towards business users (= business oriented towards business users (= internal customers of this new Data platform).
Below is a list of the main activities and skills required to embody this position within this new position within this new IDEA “Global Data Platform” ecosystem:

• Understand Europ Assistance’s business and the main functional areas that can be addressed by IDEA. Understanding the structure of the Group and its subsidiaries to be able to support their integration into IDEA.
• To accompany the interlocutors in their reflection, to formalize the needs. Framing, specifying, estimating the effort, accompanying the delivery, securing the testing phases and accompany the appropriation by the users. An absolute requirement of value creation must constantly accompany you in order to meet these needs, which in the end will become “Data apps” or “Data Use Cases”.
• To respect the business/technical rules, standards and policies for the proper management within the platform, Europ Assistance and the Generali Group
• Lead the design of data integration workflows, data containers (datalake, datawarehouse, data marts) KPIs and associated visuals. This in collaboration with the whole team (data architect, data engineers and DataViz engineer)
• Assist/advise the data platform manager in the research, evaluation, configuration and maintenance of tools, capabilities and environments
• Provide the data architect with the elements to ensure full traceability of the data manipulated within the platform
• Assists the Data Science / ML Ops teams in preparing the required data. This is to facilitate/industrialize the implementation of various analytical models
• Anticipates, respects and designs Data Quality rules
• Document and communicate in an intelligible way all assumed business rules in data apps or data use cases. Works with the Group or Local business line/functions to manage data quality issues
• Contributes to the evolution and changes of the EDM (Enterprise Data model)
• Interacts with the support/delivery data team: these activities will be outsourced to a TMA partner during 2022

Due to the Global/Central positioning of your role, international travel will be required to support local teams (IT and/or Business).

Qualifications

• Engineer (or equivalent) in a field with a strong technical component
• 4-5 years of significant successful experience :
  o In projects with a strong Data component with some complexity of KPIs, business rules. Participation in the design and implementation of Data oriented solutions and/or with the aim of meeting the expectations in the fields of insurance, finance, actuarial, regulatory reporting, reconciliation processes, etc.
  o High agility in complex Data ecosystems/architectures, based mainly on Cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
  o Great ability to understand the use of the above-mentioned tools/technology
• A strong general culture of the IT world mainly applied to Data
  o Data Privacy concepts should be no secret to you
  o A very strong knowledge in all aspects related to security applied to to IT systems
• Experience in management and/or collaboration with an offshore/nearshore TMA team will be a plus
• Perfect command of English
