About the job

To sustain and support our rapid growth in Asia, we are looking for a proactive, adaptable, and problem-solving-oriented individual to join the Hong Kong office as the Finance Manager Asia (covering Hong Kong office and our new office in Shanghai, referred offices or entities). The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the financial activities of a business with the ability to draw insights to support and influence business decisions. You are excited at the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that enables you to get exposure to a variety of topics. 

You will be part of the global finance team, reporting to the Group Finance Director based in our HQ in Paris, working directly with the General Manager of Hong Kong office and responsible for managing the finance function of the Asian offices. The role is based in Hong Kong and will require occasional travels to Shanghai to meet and work with Shanghai office and local accounting/finance vendor.

Responsibilities

Monitor business performance

·       Assist management decision making around issues such as gross margin optimization and resource alignments, working closely with operation lead

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial modelling and analysis to support decision making

·       Work with budget holders to monitor and track actual spending vs budget

Financial planning & Analysis

·       Oversee the monthly closing with the group accounting team

·       Produce and analyze monthly financial and operational reporting (including P&L, KPIs, Cashflow)

·       Animate the budget & forecasting process within the entity, in accordance with the group’s guidelines.

·       Ensure robust financial controls are in place for commercial activities

·       Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

Operations

·       Prepare, review, and approve payments

·       Collaborate with HR to process payroll payments

·       Work with global sales administration on cash collections

·       Maintain and develop relationships with external stakeholders including external accountants, auditors, banks, and tax authorities

·       Oversee statuary compliance of entities within, but not limited to Payroll, payments, and statutory audit.

Your Profile

·       Bachelor’s degree in Finance, accounting or a related discipline

·       A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in financial consulting or auditing, corporate finance or FP&A; experience in setting up China financial operations will be advantageous

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel for modelling, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Microsoft Dynamics will be helpful

·       Deliver your role in a highly collaborative manner that generates buy-in and enthusiasm from your peers (excellence & benevolence).

·       Solution oriented and able to drive changes for improvement

·       Strong attention to detail with a logical approach and systematic mindset

·       Entrepreneurial and agile to thrive in a highly dynamic environment that strives for positive changes

·       Business partnering & Personal Leadership with experience working with senior management members across teams

·       High proficiency in written and spoken English; Mandarin speaker is a plus

·       French language skills will be good to have as you will interact with the finance and accounting team in Paris

Prioritization will be given to relevant candidates who are currently residing in Hong Kong while the company supports visa sponsorship for those currently working in Hong Kong
