Finance Officer at Edda

We are looking for a dynamic Finance Officer to oversee our accounting operations and ensure compliance with legal requirements. You should be familiar with audits, invoices and budget preparations. Our ideal candidate demonstrates interest in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.

Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures. If you have a passion for managing financial activities, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for time-sensitive tasks, we want to hear from you.

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

• Maintain accurate records for all daily transactions.

• Prepare comprehensive balance sheets.

• Process invoices in a timely and efficient manner.

• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable with precision.

• Update internal systems with up-to-date financial data.

• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.

• Participate in financial audits, demonstrating a keen eye for detail.

• Track bank deposits and payments for transparency and accountability.

• Collaborate in the preparation of budgets, offering valuable insights.

• Review and implement financial policies to ensure compliance.

Package: €38K - €42K per year

Your future manager

Your future manager at Edda will be Alexandre, the COO and Co-founder. With prior experience at Bpifrance in Venture Capital and Private Equity, Alexandre co-founded Edda to innovate and streamline the industry.  Currently, Alexandre leads Edda’s operations, overseeing sales, customer care, finance, and HR teams, aiming for sustained growth. You’ll also work with Elizabeth, our part-time CFO, who brings over 15 years of operational management experience from both a multinational and startup background.

You could be the perfect match for this role if you have: 🌟

• Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or in a similar role.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or an equivalent field.

• Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.

• Experience in financial software, such as Pennylane and Quickbooks.

• Advanced MS Excel skills

• In-depth understanding of financial regulations.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills to interpret complex data.

• Sharp time management skills, with the ability to handle time-sensitive tasks effectively.

• Strong ethical values, demonstrating discretion with confidential data.

• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)

• Native English speaker or a very good level of proficiency in English.
