ABOUT THE TEAM: The developer will report to the local Studio director and will be part of a dynamic team of about 10 developers, within an international organization of 35 people.
MISSIONS:
Develop components (templates, plugins) of websites for Hotels and Hotel groups on the D-Edge CMS (WordPress-based), by following the design and specifications provided by the team
Participate in support, maintenance and evolution of existing websites
You will be initially trained by your tech lead or a senior developer, pursuing the goal of full self-sufficiency in building websites from scratch, from getting the Project manager brief to the publication and subsequent support & maintenance
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Good knowledge of front-end development technology: HTML5, CSS3, PHP & JS
Familiar with or is willing to learn the jQuery ecosystem, crucial to WordPress
Passionate about problem-solving
Comfortable to learn and able to understand User Interactions and User Experience (UI/UX)
Well aware of responsive web design and its relevant techniques
You can produce and explain quality source code
You have good oral and written communication skills in English: D-Edge is an international company with business units on 3 continents.
Able to work in a team, dares to share and has good communication skills.
NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT MANDATORY:
Proven experience with development of Wordpress themes and/or plugins
Previous experience with backend development in PHP and/or NodeJS
Basics of frontend build systems (gulp.js)
Familiarity with version control systems and their cloud-based tools (Git, Gitlab, Github )
Basic system administration skills (Linux, LAMP stack, nginx, haproxy etc)
Knowledge of Web Analytics (Google Analytics)
Basic SEO notions
Knowledge of advanced frontend topics like Page Speed optimization, animation, etc.
Experience with web Accessibility frameworks (WCAG
