🧑🤝🧑ABOUT THE TEAM:
We are at the heart of an ecosystem of several hundred partners with whom we develop and maintain various connectivities via API. The team is responsible for all technical interactions with PMS (Property Management System), CRS (Central Reservation System) and RMS (Revenu Management System) that we are connected to (or want to connect to).
Our technical environment is very rich: distributed architecture of web services and applications on Service Bus, high performance, reliability and security constraints: you will need autonomy, initiative, and adaptability to thrive in this ecosystem.
You will be joining a team that is in the process of splitting into two subteams. It is currently composed of a Team Lead, 7 developers - ranging from mid-level to senior-level - and 4 product members.
The team is mainly based in Paris, Barcelona and Tunis. You will work alongside Sofware Engineers: Nguyen Farny, Nicolas Legendre, Fernando Contreras, Mamourou Niare and Habib Barhoumi; and Product /Project Managers: Céline Diab, Magda Boix, Sophie Bonhomme and Sarah Ranzini.
You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager.
💻 YOUR SCOPE:
Acting as a servant leader, you are responsible for leading the evolutions and maintenance needs. Your scope covers all stages of development, including working on specifications, planning, day-to-day operations and delivery; and also managing a technical team of 3-5 engineers. As a manager, in the context of fast growth, you are responsible for growing the expertise of individual engineers and the team as a whole. To realize this mission, you will be supported by your Engineering Manager and will work in close collaboration with your Product Manager.
🎯 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Management and organization.
Lead the development team through direct management of engineers, as well as mentorship.
Ensure that the team members are learning and growing and remain motivated.
Ensure that the organization of the team is consistent with the team principles and allows efficient collaboration between all stakeholders.
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to execute the hiring plan with no compromise on the skills of the newcomers.
Manage HR operations such as one-to-one meetings, bi-annual reviews, leave requests and newcomers onboarding process.
Plan, design and follow-up technical projects.
Participate in the design of software architecture and technical choices.
Animate the design and grooming meetings for the projects.
Ensure the proper documentation is written and maintained, including experiment reports, architecture overview, technical specifications, on-call/supervision help.
Ensure the project CI/CD workflow is efficient and consistent, and includes relevant monitoring and alerting.
Perform recurring reporting to the Engineering Manager to identify project progress, difficulties, and risks.
Quality and performance
Ensure high standards in development and quality are met and consistent.
Ensure that technical choices made by the team are consistent with the general architecture principles, mature, and will be maintainable in the long term.
Ensure the efficient contribution of the engineering team to the incident management whenever necessary.
Ensure that the technical debt is managed and under control.
Ensure that the engineering teams efficiently contribute to the roadmap, evaluate the workload, and balance new features and technical improvements.
Ensure that the roadmap is delivered on time with the right balance between technical improvements and new features.

⭐WHAT YOU’VE GOT:
The job has been tailored for you if: 🦄
You have 7+ years of experience in engineering in a SAAS environment and production management.
You have already been the manager of an engineering team of 3+ people.
You have a strong technical background and the ability to work closely with engineering teams, understand technical requirements, choices, and architectures. In particular, you have a good knowledge of the technologies and frameworks used by the team.
You have the ability to work and collaborate with Product, QA, IT Ops and Customer Service
You are familiar with the project and software engineering past and present popular methodologies: SCRUM, KANBAN.
You successfully managed projects of various types, including development of new features, maintenance or fine-tuning of existing products.
You are a problem solver, with the ability to go deep into details whenever necessary.
You have good written and oral communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You speak and write French and English.
