Support Communication Officer for CAD/FND is responsible for delivering the content from CAD to FND and mediation of general cooperation and communication between both departments when it comes to campaigns, events and other fundraising communication. She/ he develop audiovisual products including videos, articles or social media posts. She/ he ensures that all the communication outputs will appear on PIN communication channel in professional and innovative way and authors will receive proper feedback. She/he also supports the communication of topics connected with PIN work (e.g. international days/events, anniversaries), including the development of communication/fundraising campaigns and looks for innovative ways of promotion. She/he supports social media campaigns of PIN. The Support Communication Officer is part of Communication and Advocacy team as well as Fundraising team and closely cooperates with its members.
The Support Communication Officer reports to the Head of CAD & FND her/his line manager. She/he closely cooperates with other members of CAD & FND, Communication Officers / Country Programmes staff and other departments such as IFU. She/he closely cooperates with other PIN departments such as Media department, IT, Finance etc.
To support Fundraising communication campaigns like “Skutečný dárek” (Real gift), SOS campaigns or Club of Friends (Klub přátel)
Donors mailing support (content check)
Cooperation on the arranging debates between RDD and FND staff
Creating communication content for private donors
Reporting CAD communication outputs for FND
Attending regular FND / CAD meetings on cross-cutting issues
To manage editing/translation/proofreading and ensure the quality of articles and prepare subtitles/captions for videos prepared by country programmes.
To follow new trends in communication of development/humanitarian topics. Contributes to PINovations in communication.
Help with postproduction of communication and visibility products.
CAD communication outputs reporting to FND
To find international days/topics relevant for PIN and come up with ideas how to promote it in connection with activities PIN is doing in the field. To maintain the calendar with days, anniversaries and preparing the schedule for preparations of the communication/fundraising campaigns.
To organize events, exhibitions, debates etc. of CAD/FND.
Supports coordination of CP communication activities in the Czech Republic and Europe (anniversaries, events, workshops);
Is responsible for reporting and planning to the line managers;
Is formally as well as informally networking and developing partnerships with all relevant stakeholders (government, media, universities, private sector, NGO sector) in the Czech Republic and Europe;
Formally represents PIN at relevant meetings, events and seminars.

High communication skills (mainly in writing)
Ability to write clear and engaging text in Czech and English
Excellent written Czech, ability to write without grammatical errors
Ability to translate text from English to Czech and vice versa and positive approach to translating
Ability to edit videos and work with subtitles is an advantage
Ability to film and take videos is an advantage
Able to work independently as well as in the team
Ability to work under time pressure
Interest in humanitarian and development issues and the regions where People In Need operate
Fluent in English and Czech
