At Algolia, we are passionate about helping developers & product teams connect their users with what matters most in milliseconds! Our People team is looking for a Director, Global Talent Acquisition who will be responsible for taking our Talent Acquisition practice to the next level.

The ideal candidate should have experience building and managing global, distributed teams, and be comfortable defining and driving recruiting best practices, processes and programs. You’re both a builder and a tinkerer - as you will be challenging our Talent Acquisition model and design as well as experimenting along the journey for continuous improvement. In short, you should come ready to challenge the way we recruit today, and expect to continually test new methods to improve our Talent Acquisition practice.

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:

  • Design and implement solutions to hire incredible team members at Algolia,
  • Partner with all leaders, and in particular hiring managers to achieve the company's hiring goals
  • Coach a team of recruiters eager to develop their skills
  • Create meaningful metrics to measure and improve recruitment activity and efficiency
  • Manage executive requisitions from sourcing to closing as an outstanding hands-on contributor, if needed

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:

  • 10+ years of hands-on recruiting experience preferably in high growth global technology company; 7+ in leadership roles, 5+ years of experience successfully managing a recruiting team
  • Agile and flexible leader who works well in ambiguous environments
  • Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills; solid communication (written and verbal) and influence skills are critical
  • Excellent business, data and financial acumen linked to strategic insight and vision
  • Hands on experience of Greenhouse - ideally having experience implementing it and building data reporting
  • Ability to influence and drive best practices in the organization with different stakeholders to influence behavior, change and collaboration (executives, hiring managers, interviewers, external agencies and influencers)
  • Action oriented. A doer who biases towards action.
  • Experience at our current stage and beyond ($50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure)
