Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an ATM/UTM System Engineer (m/f) to join our Navigation and ATM department based in Toulouse, France. This department, inside the Upstream Ground Segment of Space Systems Engineering organization, has contributed for many years to the design and development of innovative complex navigation and ATM solutions and products for various institutional customers.

As an ATM/UTM* System Engineer (m/f) you will deeply contribute to our traffic simulation & deconfliction products industrialization which have been developed in the frame of European SESAR research projects.

Willing to ensure that the customer’s voice is captured, the product team understands associated expectations and the product delivered is providing expected business value to delight our customers, so this job is made for you !

Your challenges:

You have a strong experience in performing ATM Customer’s related activities.

Your activity inside our Agile team will be articulated around two areas of responsibilities.

1/ Capture and define customer’s expectation for the product team:

• Manage customer’s interaction to collect and understand their challenges and associated requirements for our product,

• Ensure those requirements are well defined, described and understood by the product team,

• Deeply contribute to system engineering to define solution from a business point of view,

• Ensure relevant business documentation is up-to-date for internal purpose and our customers.

2/ Ensure products delivered by the product team will fulfil customer’s expectations:

• Contribute to system testing (led by IVV manager) to validate that product developed is fulfilling customer expectations,

• Contribute to solution deployment on customers’ premises from a business perspective (Training, support…),

• Ensure adoption by the customer of product delivered,

• In case of a bug found during operation, provide business analysis to contribute to resolution.

Your profile:

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in ATM business activities minimum,

• Business knowledge in the ATM domain, Business knowledge in UTM domain is a plus,

• Experience in Customer facing activities,

• Natural networker and leader with a ability to influence in a hierarchical and non-hierarchical relationship,

• Proven experience and track record in leading teams and/or projects in an engineering environment,

• Team player, excellent interpersonal skills within multicultural teams,

• Proactive obstacle remover who can identify what actions to undertake to lead the change in a wide and complex organisation,

• Accurate, rigorous and mission oriented,

• Good knowledge of Programme Management and Product Development,

• Good experience in Systems and Software Engineering,

• Knowledge and experience with Agile and CMMI is a plus,

• Fluent in French and English, other languages would be a plus.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
