We are seeking a Senior Manager Financial Controller to lead our team based in Paris. This role requires to have a very good understanding of finance systems, processes, reporting and accounting. 

The France financial controlling team (5 people including this role) is responsible for a broad range of Controlling activities in France, very well connected with local teams (FP&A, legal, HR)  as well as the Central Regional Controlling team in Amsterdam, Central Functions in Barcelona and Shared Services in Romania and India. Your role will be linking pin between these teams, as well as leading & supporting the French controlling team. 

Leadership in Adevinta means actively supporting your team to become successful. This means coaching and  coordinating.  This also means participating in the daily operations to set the example and bring knowledge to the team.

This is a hybrid role and the office is based in Paris.

What you’ll do

• Delivery of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closings by working closely with all internal and external Financial Controllers and Analysts 

  • SAP S4 HANA and onestream reporting 

  • Revenue controlling & accounting for relevant countries & centrally managed revenue streams

  • Trial Balance review and flux analysis

  • Coordinate Allocations and cross charges

  • Project accounting

  • Payroll coordination and expense report coordination

• Coordinate local statutory audits

• Liaise with the Company’s legal & tax advisors a.o. reviewing or submitting tax declarations and required forms with the authorities, or other locally required reporting and submissions

• Liaise & report to local authorities on local required reporting and submissions.

Who you are

• You have earned a bachelor or master’s degree in the areas of Controlling or Finance & Accounting

• Minimum 10 years of experience in an accounting and/or controlling role, preferably in an international global environment

• Minimum 4 years of leadership experience

• Strong analytical (excel) skills and an affinity with numbers

• Strong interpersonal skills 

• Able to work & prioritize independently in an international matrix organization

• Extended experience in working with accounting software (SAP S4 HANA  preferred);

• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken

Other information

• The role will be based in Paris, with limited travel to Amsterdam and Barcelona
