Join Mercateam as a Marketing Development Representative (MDR) and play a key role in fueling our Demand Generation strategy. 🎯 Job Description – Junior Marketing Development Representative (MDR)

(Junior Demand Generation / Business Development)

🚀 The Role

We are looking for a Marketing Development Representative (MDR) to support and scale Mercateam’s Demand Generation strategy.

This role sits at the crossroads of marketing, sales development, and growth. You will play a key role in fueling the top of the funnel, generating qualified opportunities, and working closely with both Sales and Marketing teams.

The position combines:

  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM)

  • Multi-channel outbound prospecting (email, LinkedIn, phone)

  • Event coordination with Sales

  • Growth into Accounts & New Logo strategy

📊 Workload split:

  • 40%: outbound calls (phone)

  • 60%: organization, coordination, campaigns, and strategy


🧩 Key Responsibilities

1. Account-Based Marketing & Prospecting

  • Work accounts end-to-end: understand their business challenges, organization, and decision-makers

  • Design and execute ABM campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and phone

  • Personally handle outbound calls to targeted contacts to generate and qualify opportunities

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to feed the sales pipeline

2. Event & Sales Coordination

  • Coordinate marketing actions with Sales around events (webinars, trade shows, customer events, etc.)

  • Ensure events are fully leveraged to maximize demand generation

  • Support event preparation, follow-up, lead qualification, and reporting

3. Growth & New Logo Strategy

  • Contribute to Growth into Accounts initiatives for existing customers

  • Support New Logo acquisition strategies to open new markets and accounts

  • Continuously nurture the top of the funnel with high-quality, sales-ready leads

Profil recherché

👤 Profile We’re Looking For

  • Degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related field

  • Recent graduate or up to 2–3 years of experience

  • Strong curiosity and genuine interest in Demand Generation, Growth, and B2B SaaS

  • Comfortable on the phone, with strong communication and persuasion skills

  • Well-organized, structured, and able to manage multiple initiatives in parallel

  • Ambitious, with a clear desire to grow into a Demand Generation Manager role

🌍 Languages:

  • Fluent French

  • Professional English required

  • Any additional language is a strong plus and highly valued


Déroulement des entretiens

Our recruitment process (in Englisgh) is designed to be simple, transparent, and efficient:

  1. Introductory Call (10 minutes)
    A short call to align on expectations, motivation, availability, and overall fit with what we’re looking for.

  2. Interview with the Head of Sales (30 minutes)
    Discussion around sales collaboration, prospecting mindset, ABM, and how the role fits into the go-to-market strategy.

  3. Interview with the Chief of Staff (30 minutes)
    Focus on organization, cross-team coordination, growth mindset, and long-term potential at Mercateam.

  4. Use Case
    A practical exercise to assess your ability to think structurally, understand an account, and design demand generation actions.

  5. Reference Call
    A final reference check to validate past experiences and ways of working.
