Visual Behavior is a young start-up that develops an Artificial Visual Cortex, a vision system emulating the human brain’s ability to understand a visual scene.
Our goal is to provide robots with high-level perception of their environment to make more intelligent and sophisticated decisions and actions. This software helps robot manufacturers to address new markets that are currently complex or unreached: advanced medical care, intelligent cobots (industry), inspection and security drones and complex human-machine interactions.

Job description

Visual behavior is hiring a computer vision and machine learning research engineer to work on the future of robotics. In this role, you’ll work on challenging robotics projects by using state-of-the-art computer vision and/or deep learning algorithms. As one of the pillars of a small team, you’ll actively participate in the development of the company’s core technologies through various research projects. Some of them will be achieved in collaboration with our partners to develop and deploy computer vision & robotics solutions for autonomous robots. The methods and technologies you’ll use and develop include: SLAM-related algorithms, convolutional neural networks, transformer architecture within the realm of supervised & self-supervised learning.

Preferred experience

  • Preferably, you are or you’ll soon be graduated from a Master’s degree in Computer science, Artificial Intelligence or other relevant fields (EE, Math, Stats, Physics, etc).
  • Strong experience in software development and programming skills in Python and C++ are required.
  • Proven Experiences working with photogrammetry algorithms and especially SLAM & Visual Slam algorithms is a major plus..
  • Experiences working on projects in machine learning in the realm of computer vision.
  • Passion to work on robotics applications and to think about possible research directions to improve the field.
  • Creativity, scientific rigor, and interest in the field of AI research.
