Your role:

Medical Writers are responsible for writing scientifically accurate and creatively impactful content to serve well-defined strategic purposes. Writers are responsible for specific accounts within specific areas, such as infant nutrition. Successful writers are able to understand the strategy, come up with original ideas and deliver excellent content. True storytelling abilities are more than welcome.

The Medical Writer reports to the Medical Director.

·       Researches and understands the specific therapeutic/scientific areas as well as the marketing strategy of the products.

·       Combines creative thinking and accurate fact based scientific knowledge to conceive, write and edit the content for a wide range of scientific and promotional assets, such as detail aids, leave behinds, websites, etc.

·       Supports and guides creative teams by distilling and humanizing the science within the strategic framework set by the client.

·       Interacts constructively with the clients, on both medical and marketing sides, by paying attention to their needs and providing valuable input in return.

·       Delivers the medical/scientific content for a range of specific accounts (the initial focus will be on infant nutrition).

Your profile:

Experience

·       Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

·       Ideally, 2 to 3 years’ experience within a healthcare agency

 

Qualifications

·       Proven scientific copywriter with a creative mindset.

·       Ability to make sense of medical/scientific data and transform it into promotional/creative copy.

·       Broad story-telling capabilities, from detailed thoroughly referenced text to headlines and ad bodycopies.

·       Ability to write a wide range of deliverables e.g. visual aids (and sales speech), leave behinds, slide sets, videos, brand books, product monographs, press kits, patient materials, website/digital content, training materials, educational materials, objection handlers, press ads.

·       Ability to adapt to a wide range of target audiences.

 

Education level.

·       Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification; Advanced degree preferred

·       Significant knowledge of global, regional, national and other document development guidelines
