The VP HR Analytics & Systems is responsible for both i) maintaining the integrity and reliability of the organization HRIS, ensuring applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the HR department, and ii) collecting, compiling, and analyzing HR data, metrics, and statistics, and applying this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and legal compliance.

HR Systems Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with HR staff and organizational leadership to determine the short- and long-term information department and system objectives; developing a plan to modify or replace the human resource information system (HRIS) applications, modules, and systems to meet those objectives.
  • Assessing current system and utilization; identifying and recommending improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.
  • Preparing reports and presenting findings and recommendations to the Chief People Officer and other company leaders.
  • Identifying, recommending, and programming custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
  • Collaborating with other analysts and HRIS staff to plan, modify, and customize the HRIS and to test new applications and features in line with the organization's strategy and objectives.
  • Preparing training materials, guides, and documentation.
  • Providing user training and hands-on support.
  • Ensuring system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Maintaining knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
  • HR Analytics Responsabilities:

  • Collecting and compiling HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the HRIS and payroll outputs, management, and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources.
  • Analyzing data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Preparing reports of data results, presenting, and explaining findings to senior leadership.
  • Identifying and recommending reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
  • Based on metrics and analysis, making recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
  • Facilitating implementation of new training, development, recruiting, and other related initiatives.
  • May conduct or assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified as exempt or non-exempt.
  • Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • May guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
  • Requirements:

  • Significant experience leading people operations and/or HR technology teams ideally in the tech industry.
  • Management consulting background preferrable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • ·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Thorough understanding of functional analysis and system design.
  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.
  • ·       Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies.

  • Team-management skills and experience.
  • Fluent in English.
