The position is based in France or Spain

Position Overview:

You will join the Low-Code Build & Run team, whose mission is to empower PayFit's business by providing a robust low-code platform (JetLang). This platform enables both technical and non-technical internal users (Product Builders – Low-Coders – and Product Compliance teams) to translate legal and business rules into payroll configuration and compliance systems integrated directly into our product.

Impact - next 12 months:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in multiple areas:

Ensure the platform can scale with our growing number of customers and diversity of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) that we manage.

Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to translate regulatory requirements into platform capabilities.

Implement systematic compliance testing frameworks that allow compliance experts to define and run test cases declaratively.

Improve experience and efficiency for our internal users (Product Builders, Domain Teams, Compliance teams).

What will you do
  • Design and implement new features for the JetLang low-code platform

  • Evolve Low-Code platform architecture to support complex Collective Bargaining Agreements

  • Contribute to the future of our compliance engine, leveragingthe latest technologies, ensuring "Compliance by Design" principles are embedded in platform features

  • Implement monitoring, SLOs, and observability for critical platform components

  • Maintain high code quality through reviews, testing, and documentation

  • Work closely with Product Builders, Domain Teams, and Compliance experts

This Role is For You If :
  • You have 5+ years as a Software Engineer, ideally with secure, multi‑tenant systems, knowing Typescript

  • You have full-stack engineering experience in SaaS platforms

  • You focus on code quality, testing, and maintainability

  • You are attentive to observability (signals, alerts, SLOs) and understand the importance of maintaining healthy systems

  • You communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and focus on customer outcomes

  • You have experience improving technical quality and delivering impactful changes in complex systems

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and can navigate organizational complexity

  • You create clear documentation and collaborate with others

  • You are fluent in English and French

It would be great if you also have:
  • Experience with building low-code platforms, DSLs (Domain-Specific Languages), or rules engines is a significant plus.

  • Understanding of Event‑Driven Architecture and Domain‑Driven Design principles.

Interview process:

1. Discovery Call: Meet a Talent Acquisition Specialist (30-45 min)

2. Discussion with an Engineering manager: Meet Arnaud, the team’s EM, to discuss technical aspects of your experience (45 min)

3. Technical Interview 1: Coding challenge with 2 team members (1 hour)

4. Technical Interview 2: System Design challenge with 2 team members (1 hour)

5. Product Discussion: Discussion with Product Manager (45 min)

6. Director Discussion: Final discussion with the Engineering Director of the tribe (30 min).
