We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer, fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives help shape better products and decisions.
Akur8 is growing, and so is the complexity of the systems we run in production. Our customers trust us with critical workflows - so we care deeply about delivering a platform that is fast, reliable, secure, and easy to operate.
We are looking for engineers who can build the robust, scalable and compute-optimised infrastructure that powers the trust of our clients. You will work with the rest of the software engineers in the Pricing product team across two time zones (Europe & Japan), serving as the primary technical reference for cloud infrastructure while remaining a contributing software engineer.
We’re looking for someone hands-on, eager to learn, and ready to take ownership of meaningful building blocks with support from a senior team.
What You’ll Achieve:
Build and evolve Akur8’s cloud foundations - contribute to the strategy and execution across compute and orchestration, ensuring our platform scales reliably and securely as usage grows. This includes resilience, and performance-minded infrastructure design.
Improve the general Software engineer experience during development. Rework the CI/CD pipelines, improve the dev environment setup automations, re-organise the terraform code and git workflows.
Raise the bar on operational excellence - improve observability (metrics, logs, tracing), strengthen incident response practices, and help make on-call sustainable through automation, runbooks, and better systems - not heroics.
Technical Stack
Cloud: AWS (primary)
Infrastructure & Automation: Terraform, Python, Ansible, GitHub Actions, AWS CLI
Containers: Docker
Observability: Datadog

We're looking for innovative and rigorous minds that have a solid technical background, and a track record of helping their team grow.
For this key role within our Engineering Team, we’re looking for a candidate :

Strong programming skills (Java, C# etc.)
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
In summary, the skills you’ll bring:
Software engineer with cloud infrastructure fundamentals: You can build software, not just configure tools. You’re comfortable contributing to existing codebases and also enjoy greenfield projects. You think about how changes behave in production and validate them through testing, staged rollouts, and good observability.
Pragmatic, impact-oriented mindset: You care about outcomes. You can balance craft, speed, and reliability - and you understand that infrastructure work should ultimately make teams faster and customers happier.
Comfort in a fast-moving environment: You’re able to navigate ambiguity, ask the right questions, and make progress step-by-step. You value long-term maintainability, while still making thoughtful trade-offs.
Curious and willing to use AI tools: You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you’re happy to adopt AI-assisted workflows to move faster and deliver better results.
Important: You must possess an employment status: French or Schengen area nationality or a ‘carte de séjour’ that will allow you to work from our Paris office. We are open to candidates outside of Paris, as long as they are willing to travel to our Paris office from time to time.
