We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated plant in vitro culture and transgenesis expert to join our “Plants & Transformation” team and help us get our most ambitious R&D project to the next level: Transforming and regenerating our enhanced plants.
You have an excellent scientific background and rigour, as well as be comfortable with managing many parallel workstreams? This job is meant for you!
The ideal candidate needs to be equally comfortable with pushing the boundary of what can be done in plant transgenesis by using ingenuity, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
From day 1 you will work on crucial topics to achieve results within an demanding timelines.
Your work will impact all future Neoplants products, and thus will be instrumental in achieving our long-term vision.

Required:
PhD + 2 years of working experience in plant science, plant molecular biology or plant biotechnology
Extensive experience in plant cell culture and protoplast manipulation of non-model plants
Extensive experience in plant in-vitro tissue culture and transformation of non- model plants
Deep expertise in molecular biology, plant cell biology and plant physiology
Ability to work autonomously with little or no supervision
Extreme scientific rigor and attention to details
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Very strong team spirit
Proactive and action-driven mindset
Proficiency in English
Nice to have:
Experience with monocots and model plants
Expertise in CRISPR-Cas9 mediated plant genetic editing
Excellent writing skills (reports, SOPs etc.)
