Reporting directly to the Head of Brand and working closely with the EU editorial team, your mission will be to strengthen the visibility of our European edition, grow our English-speaking audience, and support our growth objectives.
Strategy
Contribute to the development and rollout of the brand strategy at the European level (positioning, messaging, editorial tone).
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of our audiences (website, social media, email campaigns, surveys) to draw meaningful insights and refine our approach.
Work with the Sales, Product Marketing and User Research teams to better understand the expectations and behaviours of our target audiences.
Content & Creation
Write and shape targeted marketing campaigns with our Growth Acquisition team, aimed at our English-speaking prospects.
Develop and test new formats (video, audio, etc.) to raise awareness of Contexte – from concept to execution.
Support the day-to-day management of our social media accounts (currently LinkedIn and Bluesky), with a focus on the EU edition: content creation, recommendations and scheduling.
Insight & Research
Conduct strategic monitoring to identify new communication opportunities for Contexte.
Produce regular benchmarks to track emerging trends across the media and marketing ecosystem and inspire innovation within the team.
You are a native English speaker (or fully bilingual); fluency in French is a plus.
You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in brand management, marketing or communication, ideally within the EU bubble or a media organisation.
You have a strong understanding of European institutions and policymaking.
You are creative, curious, full of ideas and comfortable communicating clearly and effectively, both in writing and in speech.
An entrepreneurial mindset is a plus. You won’t always have a clear roadmap — you’ll need to be extremely proactive.
You’re independent, resourceful — but also a true team player who enjoys collaborative work.
We believe in the principle of subsidiarity: the person doing the work makes the decision, after checking in with the people affected and the relevant experts. This is a key part of our culture, built on freedom, trust, and being demanding while caring.
You’ll benefit from ongoing leadership training and regular opportunities to exchange ideas and experience with other managers.
You’ll be part of a company with a strong social mission: to produce and sell independent political journalism that empowers all democratic actors – regardless of size, background, or viewpoint.
You’ll contribute to building and strengthening our model of independence:
Ensuring that Contexte’s majority owner don’t have other main business interests outside the company.
Maintaining profitability, which is essential to our independence;
Creating the conditions for journalists to do their work free from pressure, whether external (political or economic) or internal (business-side or shareholder).
You can become a shareholder in the company through our employee shareholding structure.
