History

Founded in 2013 by Luc Pallavidino and Antoine Louiset in Normandy, Yousign started with a simple mission: to democratize the use of electronic signatures and make them simple and accessible to everyone.
Over the past decade, we’ve grown into a digital trust provider, building the instruments of Digital Trust for European SMEs and mid-sized enterprises — helping organisations sign, verify, and seal their business exchanges securely and in full compliance with EU regulations.

In 2019, we joined eFounders (now Hexa), one of Europe’s top SaaS startup studios. In 2021, we raised €30M from Hexa and Lead Edge Capital (a fund known for backing Asana, Zoom, Spotify, and Uber).

In 2020, Alban Sayag joined and soon became CEO, ensuring continuity and long-term direction. Both founders remain involved in shaping the company’s vision through Board presence.

Product and vision

Yousign has been the go-to solution for electronic signatures in Europe. In 2026, we're evolving into Youtrust, a comprehensive digital trust platform designed for the realities of modern business.

Digitalization creates opportunities but also exposes companies to new risks: document forgery, identity theft, AI-enabled fraud. Meanwhile, European regulations are becoming more demanding. We're building the infrastructure that lets businesses grow safely and stay compliant without the complexity.

Our 3 product pillars:

* Sign : 3 levels of electronic signatures (simple, advanced, qualified), legally binding and compliant with European standards.

* Seal (eSeal) : An electronic seal ensuring the integrity and authenticity of documents on behalf of the organization.

* Verify : Identity and document verification (KYC, KYB, PVID) as well as bank-account checks (IBAN) to prevent fraud and strengthen compliance.

Entirely hosted and processed in Europe, Yousign guarantees sovereignty, transparency, and reliability.

We’re at a defining moment. Yousign is entering a new phase as a digital trust provider, expanding beyond eSignature to cover the full spectrum of digital trust.
