Shotgun is a leading platform dedicated to empowering live music event organizers and touring artists, driving the future of the live music industry. Our mission is to build the infrastructure that enables live music to thrive.

We provide powerful tools to sell tickets, build strong brands, and connect with fans in meaningful ways. From 2020 to 2025, Shotgun achieved rapid growth with GMV increasing 25× and revenue growing 40×, leading the company to profitability. Today, we support more than 10,000 clients and engage over 8,000,000 users across Europe, the US, and LATAM.

In the past seven years, Shotgun has raised €10M from Newfund, Venrex, One RagTime, Creator Collective, and BPI Culture Fund. The Role

As Shotgun grows, so does our ambition. We're branching out into new territories, inaugurating fresh ventures, and, in the process, assembling new teams. Our pathway to success lies in our analytical rigor and exhaustive exploration of every opportunity.

You are Shotgun's first dedicated SRE. Your mission is to build a production-grade cloud infrastructure that scales with our ambition, so every team ships with confidence, traffic spikes don't become incidents, and developers spend time building product, not fighting the platform. You own the foundation: cloud architecture, scalability, observability, security, and developer tooling.

What you will do

• Build and own a production-grade cloud infrastructure. Compute, networking, CDN, DNS, secrets management, all built with Infrastructure as Code tooling from day one

• Design auto-scaling infrastructure that absorbs sharp traffic peaks without manual intervention. We sell 150k+ tickets/hour at peak, it must hold.

• Own the full observability stack: metrics, logs, traces, SLI dashboards, and SLO-based alerting that catches incidents before users notice

• Build and own the incident response process: post-mortems, severity SLAs, on-call rotation for peak events, and systematic MTTR reduction

• Harden the platform through security best practices: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, CI/CD scanning and compliance posture (SOC 2)

• Build golden-path IaC templates so engineers self-serve environments in minutes and improve CI/CD speed

The job is for you if

• 🕐 You have spent a meaningful time (5+ years) as a hands-on SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineer with production experience on AWS or GCP, Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent), database scaling (Postgres or equivalent), and multi-region infrastructure management

• 🤖 You love building robust, scalable system. Reliability and performance are your craft

• 🦾 You have significant expertise scaling cloud platforms. You have already operated infrastructure that handled large, unpredictable traffic at scale

• 💃 You are passionate about entertainment: enabling 150k+ people to get into a show without a hitch is your kind of challenge

• 🤝 You communicate clearly with the rest of the tech team. You see developer experience as a core part of your job and take pride in empowering engineers to ship faster and with confidence
