Demand Planning Manager Scaleway

OUR STORY:

🇪🇺 Join Scaleway and shape the sovereign cloud of tomorrow !

Since 1999, we have been designing secure, sustainable infrastructures aimed at supporting the most ambitious companies.

Historically known for our dedicated servers (Dedibox), we made a strategic shift to cloud computing in 2015. Staying true to our principles of simplicity, flexibility, and technical excellence, we have become one of the leading players in Europe in the sector.

With the rise of artificial intelligence, we have strengthened our commitment, supported by the Iliad Group, which is investing €3 billion to develop a serious, sovereign AI alternative to American and Asian giants.

Every day, thanks to our fast-growing portfolio of cloud and AI products (bare metal, containerization, serverless, AI, etc.), Scaleway proudly serves thousands of customer across the private and public sector, from corporations like France Télévisions or Hachette Livre, to fast-growing startups like Photoroom and Biolevate, to institutions like the City of Copenhagen.

📍 Our offices are located in Paris, Lille, Toulouse, Rennes, Rouen, Bordeaux and Lyon.

WHY WE NEED YOU ?

As Scaleway continues to grow, we need to strengthen our Operations team with dedicated expertise in Demand Forecasting and Capacity Planning to anticipate the demand for our cloud infrastructure and support our growth.

Your mission will be to build, own, and continuously improve consumption forecasts for our Compute, Storage, and GPU offerings, turning historical data, commercial pipeline, and product insights into reliable demand projections. You will help us make better capacity decisions, challenge assumptions with data, and establish a robust forecasting process across the company.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

You will join Scaleway's Operations team at a pivotal moment in its development. Until now, forecasting responsibilities have been shared across several teams. We are creating this role to establish clear ownership of demand forecasts while maintaining shared accountability with Product and Sales teams.

You will collaborate closely with our Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and AI Tooling teams, reporting directly to Albane Bruyas.

This is an opportunity to shape a key operational capability in a fast-growing cloud environment, combining industrial forecasting challenges with the complexity of modern cloud infrastructure.

• Develop and continuously improve forecasting models, taking into account seasonality, customer signals, product developments, and exceptional events.

• Challenge assumptions from Product and Sales teams using statistical analysis, historical data, and market insights to establish a reliable, shared forecast.

• Detect changes in demand patterns, assess their impact, and adjust forecasts as new information becomes available.

• Present forecasts, scenarios, assumptions, and associated risks during S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) reviews.

• Collaborate with Data and AI Tooling teams to leverage the analytical capabilities and tools developed internally to improve forecasting performance.
