In an environment of openness & collaboration, Operational Excellence business partner maximizes the contribution of its global function within Manufacturing and Supply (M&S) Global Business Unit (GBU) as well as other functions in Sanofi. In a matrix organization, as the Head of M&S Operational Excellence you will be a key partner of the GBU Head, ensuring high standards and working with common technology, tools, systems, for the good of One Sanofi.  

You will be part of the M&S GBU Leadership Team aligning M&S GBU expectations and ways of working with the one Sanofi M&S network. 



Main responsibilities: 

  • Lead the performance ambition setting process for the GBU through internal and external benchmarks, drive the performance workstream during Strat Plan and Budget to define targets and cascade ambition into relevant KPI trajectories

  • Develop and own the GBU performance roadmap by defining the portfolio of initiatives including standardization and smart factories, defining the digital roadmap and continuously prioritizing initiatives to maximize the “resource-benefit” equation

  • Drive execution of the GBU performance roadmap and stimulating value realization, by supporting sites by deploying GBU Transformation Leaders on priority plants/initiatives (e.g., boosters, SMS 2.0, digital, etc.), partnering with Global Functions to provide targeted expertise to site & GBU teams and driving change management

  • Manage the GBU performance governance by leading the performance reviews, monitoring process vs. ambition and representing the GBU in global performance forums 

  • Build high performing teams by expanding Operational Excellence and Digital knowledge, promoting transformation and identifying and developing talents 


About you  

  • Track record in Operational Excellence and/or Transformation roles in large organizations, with proven track record in driving change and achieving lasting and measurable impact  

  • Experience in large complex industrial environments, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage diverse stakeholders   

  • Exposure to consulting, both as a client or a consultant, is a plus  

  • Decision Maker: you take timely and data-based decisions in a fast moving and complex environment to drive performance and progress

  • Performance Champion: you embrace digital innovation, AI, GenAI to democratize data and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness

  • Unleash the potential of each one and prepare the leaders of the future

  • Oral and written fluency in English, another language represents an asset
