We're opening a new BDR hub in Berlin! Join as one of the first BDRs in our new hub.

This role requires 3 days per week in the office.

Coming from a completely different field but bring the drive, communication skills, and hunger to learn? That's exactly who we're looking for. Whether your background is in hospitality, customer service, consulting, recruiting, retail, or something entirely different — if you're competitive, curious, and ready to build a real sales career, we'll teach you the rest.

We're bringing candidates together for an Onsite Hiring Day on 7th and 8th October 2026 at our Berlin office. This is a chance to meet your future team and sales leaders in person, experience the culture firsthand, and get a real feel for what life at Personio looks like.

If you're excited by the prospect of joining a company with vast untapped market potential, a career at Personio could perfectly align with your ambitions. You'll build a deep understanding of customer needs to drive the growth of a transformative product in an HR technology industry set to soar, offering a lifeline to millions of organizations still stuck in Excel chaos, paperwork and manual processes.

The work you'll do

• Prospect into strategic accounts via cold call, email and social selling strategies, working toward a monthly quota of qualified opportunities and pipeline value

• Learn to handle typical outbound sales objections, removing obstacles from the selling landscape and helping opportunities progress

• Qualify potential value drivers and solution fit by engaging with key decision makers to discover pains and company goals

• Generate sales pipeline and develop opportunities for a team of Account Executives

• Do thorough account and industry research, to maintain and organize your growing book of business

• Grow into a subject matter expert on state-of-the-art HR technology and processes

• Develop and execute creative multi-threading strategies for targeting different decision-makers at prospect accounts

What we're looking for

• No prior sales experience required — any background where you've dealt with people, pressure, or persuasion (customer-facing roles, hospitality, retail, consulting, recruiting, etc.) is a plus

• Languages: German C1/C2 is a must, English B2 minimum

• You are competitive, resilient, and highly driven — you're excited by the idea of thriving in a fast-paced sales environment

• Proactivity, strong communication & problem-solving skills — willing to learn how to handle objections and drive conversations

• Strong business acumen is a plus — being able to speak the language of C-level executives

• AI Fluency: You have hands-on experience using AI to improve your workflow, and the sound judgment to know exactly when to rely on it and when to step in yourself
