Position based in Havana, Cuba

Context 

• Havana Club International S.A. (HCI) is a joint venture established in 1993 between the Cuban company Cuba Ron S.A., and the French Pernod Ricard Group with the goal of developing the Havana Club brand internationally via Pernod Ricard’s strong international distribution network and distribute in the Cuban market Pernod Ricard portfolio. 

• Since 1994, Havana Club has been a priority brand for Pernod Ricard, and today it is one of the Group’s Strategic International Brands. 

• Havana Club is the number three international rum brand in the world outside the US and the worldwide leader in super premium and above rums. Havana Club reached 4.6 million cases in 2019 and ranked twenty-third in the Impact Top 100 (2017). 

The company is based in Havana and exports to over 120 countries, excluding the US, where Cuban products are banned due to the trade embargo. 

Job purpose  

• The VIE will join the Transformation Department composed of 4 people. It was created in December 2020 with the objective of bringing together under the same structure the different transformation projects of the company, with 3 main pillars: digitalization, standardization, and integration. The Transformation Department is now integrated within the new IT & Transformation Direction. 

• The VIE will be also in charge of coordinating PR internal control, including audit follow-up and other audit requirements.  

Main tasks and responsibilities:

TRANSFORMATION PROJECTS (70%)

• Coordinate all HCI Transformation projects, from Group Projects (Finance 4.0: EPM Polaris, Beyond Budget, S&OP) to local projects, covering all functions of the company. Ensure regular follow-up of all projects with the different departments, IT teams and external consultants.

• Assist the Head of Transformation in the definition of department strategy, consolidation of Transformation company needs, prioritization and documentation of transformation projects (timelines, project governance, risk analysis, etc).

• Build and implement HCI Transformation communication plan with the support of HCI Communication Manager

• Participate in the elaboration of monthly presentations for HCI Management Committees 

PERNOD RICARD INTERNAL CONTROL (20%)

• Be the key contact for compliance with PR internal control principles.

• Ensure follow-up of FY22 PR Internal Audit conclusions and completion of action plans. Be the local coordinator between all HCI departments and HQ Internal Audit Team, in the resolution and closing of all audit points. 

• Coordinate the annual completion of the internal control questionnaire and provide other key information when requested (risk mapping, etc).

ONE OF MISSIONS (10%)

• Support local teams in the elaboration of processes or procedures.

• Participate in the elaboration of presentations for PR top management, regarding transformation or internal control topics.

• You are a University/Engineering or Business School graduate (Master’s degree) in Corporate Finance or business administration.
• You have a first experience in business controlling, financial planning or internal audit, your experience in project management is also very important.
• You have a Driving licence (mandatory).
• You are fluent in Spanish (B2), French and English. All three languages are mandatory.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
