Today, Mirakl’s operating system combines an enterprise marketplace solution (Mirakl Platform) that enables retailers and B2B organizations to launch, scale, and operate marketplaces and dropship, AI-powered multichannel selling (Mirakl Connect), retail media (Mirakl Ads) and an agentic commerce infrastructure (Mirakl Nexus).

With dual headquarters in Boston and Paris, Mirakl helps a global ecosystem of 450+ marketplaces (B2C and B2B) and a network of over 100k third-party marketplace sellers. As a Lead Product Designer, you are a recognized design expert and the owner of the user experience for the Mirakl Platform back office. You apply your UX/UI expertise to make complex marketplace and e‑commerce concepts simple and intuitive, in close collaboration with our squads (user management, orders, catalog, pricing, after‑sales, accounting, etc.). You align design goals with business priorities and influence product decisions at the right level. You are not just a Figma producer — you are a true product builder who engages upstream of design, experiments fast, and delivers measurable value.

What you’ll do:

  • Co‑develop — with the Design Director and Group Product Managers — the product vision and design strategy, and work with Product Designers to bring it to life.
  • Build the product, not just design it: engage from problem definition, challenge assumptions, co‑create solutions, and measure their real impact.
  • Structure and guarantee the coherence and quality of deliverables at every stage (benchmarking, user research, wireframes, high‑fidelity prototypes, specs, edge cases).
  • Deliver measurable business impact by proposing effective, compelling, and innovative design solutions to complex business problems.
  • Actively use AI tools in your day‑to‑day practice : Cursor, Claude Code, Figma AI, v0, Uizard, or any emerging tool — to prototype faster, explore more options, and ship better.
  • Maintain an active watch on new tools, methods, and design & AI practices, and champion their adoption internally to evolve the team’s ways of working.
  • Measure and analyze the adoption and usage of delivered solutions and propose iterative improvements based on user insights and product metrics.
  • Embed co‑design in your practice and facilitate co‑creation workshops with cross‑functional teams.
  • Contribute to and help govern the Design System (prioritization, contribution, versioning, design tokens) and champion its adoption across the organization.
  • Represent design with key stakeholders (Leadership, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing), communicate progress, and arbitrate experience/tech/business trade‑offs when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Seasoned expert: 6+ years of Product Design experience on complex B2B SaaS products — not necessarily a manager, but a true design authority with recognized seniority.
  • Product builder at heart: you have a track record of shipped features or products with measurable impact. You think in terms of value delivered, not design deliverables.
  • You master the end‑to‑end design process and bring user‑centered design methodologies (Design Thinking, Double Diamond, etc.) to the team’s daily practice.
  • AI‑native practice: you actively use Claude Code, Cursor, Figma AI, v0 in your workflow, and keep pace with the market to identify the next tools.
  • Beyond Figma: you operate upstream (strategy, discovery) and downstream (implementation, impact measurement) — not just mockup production.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: you take ownership of the product, work with passion, and consistently strive to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent team spirit and open‑mindedness: you advocate for your ideas and challenge your own proposals.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • You demonstrate humor, respect, and kindness.

The Recruitment Process

  • A 30-minute phone call with one of our recruiters. This will be an opportunity to discuss your background, your expectations, and to discover what Mirakl can offer you in return.

  • A first one-hour job-related interview via Zoom, conducted by both the Product Director and the Head of Design. This session will allow us to dive deeper into your expertise and explore how your skills could contribute to our projects.

  • Two 45-minute interviews, giving you the chance to meet your potential future colleagues at Mirakl!

✨ Portfolio guidelines

  • Consider your portfolio as a UX exercise. Think about your audience (recruiter, hiring manager), the time available (often a few minutes), and the context in which it will be reviewed (between meetings, sometimes on mobile). Make sure navigation is simple and fast, with a clear structure to move from one project to another and jump to the most important sections. Keep in mind that the portfolio often replaces a design exercise during the hiring process.
  • Be concise and decision-oriented. For each project, make the content scannable in a few seconds: the problem, your role, constraints, key choices, and the outcome. Avoid long texts and generic process or workshop descriptions that could apply to any project. If you want to show your method, do it in a dedicated section.
  • Put visuals at the center. Use high-quality screenshots and highlight the result of your work. Show the expected level of craft, and briefly explain what the reader should focus on.
  • Treat the portfolio as a personal branding exercise. It is a personal project that should reflect your personality while staying professional. The interface should feel spacious, leave room for visuals, and reflect current standards (typography, hierarchy, spacing, clarity).
  • Select a small number of highly relevant projects. It is better to show 2 to 4 strong case studies tailored to the role than many average projects. Choose the ones where your impact and leadership are the most visible.
  • Clarify your contribution and your level of leadership. As a manager, we want to understand how you framed the problem, aligned stakeholders, made decisions, prioritized, and improved the practice (guidelines, design system, rituals, quality).
  • Show impact, not only screens. Add results when possible (conversion, adoption, time saved, quality, reduced support). If you do not have metrics, explain which signals you used (feedback, testing, analytics, learnings) and what you changed as a result.

Meet our Head of Design, Romain Séchan:

We welcome collaborators with their diverse perspectives and experiences to power us forward. These often far exceed conventional job requirements and help us create a culture of continuous learning. If you’re ready to join a global leader powering digital transformation for 450+ of the world’s most innovative retailers and B2B organizations..

We may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to help streamline our hiring process, including screening applications, analyzing resumes, and assessing responses. While AI helps us work efficiently, all final hiring decisions are made by humans. For more information, visit our AI Guidelines for Candidates and Interviews.
